Clockwork: Prog Blogs Start The Debt Ceiling Panic

Forcing a conversation on the debt ceiling using a threat to defund Obamacare is like a Double Stuf Oreo: twice the goodness.

It takes extreme posturing like this to get the Democrats to talk about anything, despite their permanent tears over GOP obstructionism. Republican leadership has been able to start conversations during the last couple of debt ceiling deadlines, it just hasn’t been able to finish them.

Whether this is a strong negotiation tactic meant to get something from the other side or just a little posturing for the press remains to be seen.

My fingers are a little sore from crossing them that last time.
