In other news, NBC News reports actual news, albeit news that we and others have been reporting for more than a year, and some of us predicted would happen before Obamacare ever became law.

Employers around the country, from fast-food franchises to colleges, have told NBC News that they will be cutting workers’ hours below 30 a week because they can’t afford to offer the health insurance mandated by the Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare.

“To tell somebody that you’ve got to decrease their hours because of a law passed in Washington is very frustrating to me,” said Loren Goodridge, who owns 21 Subway franchises, including a restaurant in Kennebunk. “I know the impact I’m having on some of my employees.”

The White House dismisses such examples as “anecdotal.” Jason Furman, chairman of the president’s Council of Economic Advisors, said, “We are seeing no systematic evidence that the Affordable Care Act is having an adverse impact on job growth or the number of hours employees are working. … [S]ince the ACA became law, nearly 90 percent of the gain in employment has been in full-time positions.”

But the president of an influential union that supports Obamacare said the White House is wrong.

“It IS happening,” insisted Joseph Hansen, president of the United Food and Commercial Workers union, which has 1.2 million members.  “Wait a year. You’ll see tremendous impact as workers have their hours reduced and their incomes reduced. The facts are already starting to show up. Their statistics, I think, are a little behind the time.”

No, the White House is just being its usual dishonest self.

They sold Obamacare as a panacea when they knew full well that it would create so much chaos that it would lead to a government run (which they call “single payer) health care system. They sell Obamacare and their other social programs as compassion, when in reality they’re intentionally hollowing out the middle class with McJobs to enrich their supporters on the top end and create more dependency on the bottom end. Both end up giving them more entrenched power to do whatever they please. It’s all about their power. We’re just ants.

Political affiliations and Tax burdens aside...The other less talked about aspect of Obamacare is the fact that depending on your income, the cost of health insurance as a percent of income smacks the middle class right in the face. A good infographic that illustrates this is here http://j.mp/14KXiBz

You can really see how making $1 more than the FPL will end up costing people thousands.

All right people, this one's simple. We need to tag "single-payer" as the "no-choice health-care system." That's what it is, and that's what we should push.

What we could really use is some truly full-time journalists in the MSM.

Obamacare is doing exactly what it was designed to do. It was designed to fail, so that the government could step into the wreckage and declare that single-payer was the only way to save the country.

If Obama and the Democrats were deliberately trying to destroy America what would they do differently?

Nothing. But I can't wake up the people around me, mention Bengazhi and you are considered to be rude. Describe how the ACA will destroy the insurance markets is to cause eyes to glaze over.
