Rep. Paul Ryan, House Majority Leader Eric Cantor and New Mexico Gov. Susana Martinez secretly spoke to wealthy donors at the Koch brothers’ recently concluded summer gathering on the outskirts of Albuquerque.

The 2012 vice presidential candidate and No. 2 House Republican are return participants to the twice-annual seminar, which also drew wealthy donors and conservative nonprofit leaders including American Enterprise Institute President Arthur Brooks.

The meeting featured some discussion of the unfolding GOP Senate primary challenges to Minority Leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky and Sen. Mike Enzi of Wyoming, but no consensus opinion emerged, a source who attended the event told POLITICO. The source said that Cantor and Ryan both delivered presentations that were well-received by donors, as was Brooks’s speech on work as a source of happiness.

The gist of the article: the Koch brothers are rich and they like Republicans. Because that’s news.

Oh, and it’s a big secret. So secret, in fact, that Politico had confirmation from a Koch spokesman, knew where it was being held and had a source on the inside.

Real cloak and dagger stuff.

Obviously, they’re simply trying to perpetuate the “shadowy Kochs control all things Republican” myth that the Democrats use to scare their misbehaving children at night.

Good. Let ‘em sweat a little.

I'm surprised the meeting wasn't held at the Koch's secret base in the hollowed out mountain where they're building that giant weather dominating machine that will enslave all Democrats! BWAHAHAHAHAHAAA!

They've already built the weather machine and have been testing it by steering and controlling hurricanes since 2006.

Isaac got away from them last year, which is why they're still working on it. They only managed to steer it away from Tampa at thelast minute.
