How big is your “L”?

It’s not your average quickie Internet quiz, I guess they’re really vetting or something. That fact did prompt me to tweet this:

Stephen Kruiser is a professional comedian and writer who has also been a conservative political activist for over two decades. A co-founder of the first Los Angeles Tea Party, Kruiser often speaks to grassroots groups around America and has had the great honor of traveling around the world entertaining U.S. troops.

I scored in the mid seventies. There were a few questions that I would have definitely liked more middle ground but over it was an interesting exercise.

Since I am now middle aged, I have become less willing to compromise on political issues. In my younger days, my votes toward compromises seemed reasonable - now when i look at them in retrospect, I realize that I was just naive.

Finally, government is irretrievably broken and unable to perform its basic functions. So I voted for most government cutbacks and some eliminations. It cannot be fixed (in most govt. organizations) - it needs to torn down and re-built. This is just my perspective having spend most of my adult life as a (frustrated) civil servant.

My score was 61

51-90 points: You are a medium-core libertarian, probably self-consciously so. Your friends probably encourage you to quit talking about your views so much.

81! I surprised myself. I did say that I favored drastic reduction of government with privatization of government functions, save police, courts, and military. After reading about all the government abuses that have come to light in the past few months (IRS, NSA, State Department sex scandals, among others), I did say that I favored "vigilante justice" against government officials (I bet THAT'S gonna get me a at least a visit from some Fed LEO types).

Scored a 76. The same score I got the LAST time I took it. I don't remember what my score was from when I took it 2 years ago when it was circulating in the gun blog sphere

I really like question #60: "Should the state be disarmed and its military disbanded?" Who will take away the guns of the state? What do you do if the military refuses to disband?

Guess you will have to form a de facto government, raise an army, be sure that some people do not own guns and engage the current military in mortal combat with a military of your own. Nothing like a little anarcho-warmongering to make the world go around.
