FBI Releases Images of Two 'People of Interest' in Boston Bombings

The FBI just released images of two men sought in the Boston Marathon bombing.

Special Agent in Charge of the FBI’s Boston Field Office Richard DesLauriers said at the time “these are the people of interest to the FBI.”

They appeared to be together and the second suspect, wearing the white baseball cap, placed a backpack in front of the Forum Restaurant bombing site, according to Des Lauriers – but the FBI did not release that video.

“We will continue to work on developing additional images,” DesLauriers said. “These images should be the only ones the public should use to assist us,” he stressed, saying other images making the viral rounds would only “create undue work for vital law enforcement resources.”

“We know the public will play a critical role of identifying these individuals,” the agent continued.

“We consider them to be armed and extremely dangerous. Do not take any action on your own — if you see these men, contact law enforcement.”

Still, he said, “there’s no imminent danger that we’re aware of now” in regard to a follow-up attack.
