Read the first two graphs of the latest Associated Press dispatch by Julie Pace and Matthew Lee from Obama’s trip to Israel:

President Barack Obama delivered an impassioned appeal Thursday for Israel to recognize that compromise will be necessary to achieve lasting security and to take steps to reverse an “undertow” of international isolation that is worsened by its failure to make peace with the Palestinians. Militants again underscored Israel’s vulnerability by firing rockets into a southern border town.

Obama declared anew that Israeli expansion of housing settlements in disputed territory only hinders chances for fruitful negotiations with the Palestinians, but he did not say as he has in the past that they must be halted.

First of all, the militants did hardly anything of significance, but ignore that for the moment. Also, leave aside the tedious pieties about the necessity of compromise. When was it not necessary? The real bombshell is in the second paragraph, not in the first where it belonged. Obama did not say settlement construction must cease.

I am privy to absolutely no inside information on this, but that is a rather amazing omission, considering it comes from Barack Obama. Has he learned from his own recent history when Israel stopped such construction for nine months in the hopes the Palestinians would negotiate — and they didn’t?

Maybe he is beginning to understand what many of us long realized — that the Palestinians do not want a two-state solution. If they did, they would have had a state of their own years ago. The parameters of a compromise have been known literally for decades, down to the street.

Paradoxically, anyone who truly wants a two-state solution would turn their backs on the Palestinians until they actually do something about it. Tough love. Who knows if they would understand it, but nothing else has worked.

I listened to some of Feckless Won's speech in Ramallah in front of some school kids where he opined on if the Jews would just sit down with these kids for a few minutes they'd realize how they are just 'kids'. I could see that happening. I think some guards would be in order - for the Jewish side of the room. These kids have been brainwashed into believing many things about Jews -and none of them good.

And how nice of Feckless Won to 'allow' Israel to defend itself against all enemies. As if it even needed to be said! But I suppose Feckless Won felt like he'd just granted Israel a right that had not before existed. What a putz!

Do these two mental midgets understand what they just said in the space of less than two sentences?

Are they that completely oblivious to their incredible stupidity?

How old are they? 12?

No sentient adult could write these sentences back to back...much less need to COLLABORATE on writing this drivel.

Leftist anti-Semites are so blissfully ignorant and unaware of themselves. It's staggering.

In all my reading about this subject I’ve never seen an explanation of how you negotiate with a party that denies your right to exist.

A "two state solution" between Israel and andy Muslim country or the PA is a fairy tale. Islam wante Israel wiped off the map and the "two state solution" is a creation in the mind of western civilization. Those pushing for it are fools and do not understand Islam. Islam has been slaughtering Jews for some 1400 years now since its creation and the fact that Israel was created as a state in 1948 has no real bearing on Islams hatred for the Jews. It may inflame their passions but Islams hatred burns bright at all times.

Israeli Apology to Turkey Sets Up Renewal of Diplomatic Ties
By MARK LANDLER and JODI RUDOREN 11:23 AM ET

Compromise is not really needed, Roger, not now. Not until Islam changes and the Arab world drops the Palestine Nation stuff, recognizes Israel as a Jewish state and admits that the two-state solution is with Jordan. But few in the Diaspora, and not so many here, have an appetite to hold out. So the pressure will keep coming, and coming..

The public sector, '12th man/ unbiased news organization' Ap, championing ALL Illiberal administration's all the while doing their best shucking and jiving for President Mommy Pants' f-ups?

Meanwhile, water's wet and beavers make dams.

The multi-generational trans-Jordanian squatters are, as Mr. Simon noted are not interested in a '2-state resolution'.

Which side is responsible for breaking EVERY resolution come down the pike?

Which side overwhelmingly elected a terrorist-supporting (and in some minds, terrorist organization is of itself) government?

Which side has been given, collectively, tens of billions of dollars as well as infinite-like, can't put a dollar amount to it - aid to function? Yet hasn't done ANYTHING constructive with said monies to build a proper working society..

Which side's homeland doesn't want their 'oppressed masses' to return? Oh, wait. Bad question. Israel's ALREADY home.

Ap/ AFP and al Jazeera 'news teams' MUST have the same employees.

The Perfidy of Albion: Britain's Secret Re-Assessment of the Balfour Declaration

John Bernard Quigley

Ohio State University (OSU) - Michael E. Moritz College of Law

July 29, 2010

Ohio State Public Law Working Paper No. 128

Abstract:
The issuance by the Government of Great Britain of the Balfour Declaration in 1917 had great consequences for the subsequent history of Palestine and the Middle East. As it was administering Palestine and implementing the Balfour Declaration in the 1920s, the British Government reported to the League of Nations that it could successfully achieve the Declaration's aim, namely, the promotion of a Jewish national home in Palestine, while at the same time respecting the rights of the existing (predominantly Arab) population. In its own internal discussion of Palestine, however, the British Government concluded that these two goals were incompatible, and that serious conflict was inevitable. It decided nonetheless, for reasons relating to its own geostrategic interests, to continue to administer Palestine and to implement the Balfour Declaration, and to continue to tell the League of Nations that it could do so successfully.

The Koran clearly states the Jews will never have a country, it is in fact one of Mohammed prophecies. This is why acknowledging Israel in any form and borders will go against both the most perfect book ever written and the most perfect human being ever born.

Giving up the entire Jerusalem, they will claim Tel Aviv. Giving up Tel Aviv, they will claim Haifa and Ashkelon. The Koran teaches the only good Jew is a dead Jew and the day of resurrection will never come unless all Jews are dead. There is no "peace" and never will be, only a cycle of hudna and taqiyyah.

If the Palestinians were truly interested in peace, they would have used the billions of dollars given to Arafat and his ilk to build a nation instead of buying arms and pursuing a dream based on force.

Liberals are obsessive in their disregard for the obvious. They hate it. They love to measure a thing by its shadow. Arabs lose a war in which they attempt to extinguish the state of Israel and so Jews practice apartheid.

That's like saying WW I trenches were proof of segregation or saying the Baltimore Ravens were bigoted against the Oakland Raiders by notion of the sheer fact of the Raider's failure.

Black folks go to prison and that's not an expression of a failure of the value system of black culture, it's an expression of the failure of white culture, of which, by the way, there is none. Unless you can point me to a popular white culture mainstream website or the white Congressional Congress.

It is not Israel's job to compromise. Why? Did they invade the West Bank in '67 in a surprise attack of naked aggression or were there tank brigades assembled there with hysterical threats about the extinction of Israel? What were Egyptian tanks doing in the West Bank?

Well, they're not there now and effectively asking Israel to surrender because they are deadlocked with no hope of victory is a failure of the intellect of staggering proportions.

Hey, West Bank. Say "I surrender" and see what happens. You've tried everything else for 60 years - try that one. Cuz I'm telling you right now, your dreams of return or having some strength to negotiate from are nonsensical. Keep what you have now or risk losing more each day.

Obama, talk to your people, cuz they invented the light bulb, look like your son, also dote on wearing jewelry with Muslim inscriptions, listen to Jew-haters like you did Rev. Wright and share your anti-colonialist views. That's because they're on the losing end now. They had no problem with colonialism when they raped the entire Mediterranean littoral.

"They had no problem with colonialism when they raped the entire Mediterranean littoral....."

Thanks for mentioning that apparently taboo subject "colonialism". It gives me another opportunity to mention the apparently media-ignored "Sykes-Picot Agreement" and also the arrant duplicity of perfidious Albion in the duplicity of their "Balfour Declaration".

Now....add the painfully laughable ingredient of this nouveau arriviste Obama flashing his toothy-grinning change-of-heart inside Israel.

Politics have seldom before been so disgusting.

Here's how the obvious works. Arabs are forced to share their homes with Jewish settlers and Jews themselves come out to protest. That is because Jewish culture, even this most radical expression of it and under tremendous pressure and danger, possess tools of self-criticism that invoke principle over identity.

In Muslim culture, under no pressure or danger, you'll not see such a thing in favor of Jews. This is a done argument. Good night, West Bank. Good luck with getting Israel to surrender. It's probably right around the corner.
