Doing my civic duty to report that the late night talk wars are still pretty boring.

It has become clear that Jimmy Fallon is going to become the host of The Tonight Show, but sources say an internal debate among key players is underway regarding the timing.

According to these sources, some top executives at NBCUniversal are leaning toward a February launch to take advantage of the promotional platform of the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia. Others, including Late Night executive producer Lorne Michaels, are said to have concerns about rushing the transition.

And so forth. Fallon and crew have repeatedly smeared Republicans as part of their schtick, so naturally, leftwing NBC is promoting Fallon. Neither Leno nor Fallon is as funny as Kimmel, who isn’t quite as good as Conan O’Brien. I almost forgot about Dave Letterman…he’s still alive?

I think Letterman is now doing guest gigs on 'The Walking Dead,'... At least, I think I saw him get shot, gored, debrained, and amputated in several different scenes - but, you know, all those zombies start to look alike after a while...
