Rep. Jeff Duncan (R-S.C.) tweeted a couple of entertaining photos, from his point of view, of President Obama meeting privately with the House Republican Caucus today.

Obama reportedly announced the white smoke at the Vatican to the assembled GOPs when the news broke that a pope has been elected.

Reporter Molly Hooper, my former colleague at The Hill, said one Republican told her that in response to the white smoke announcement someone then asked Obama, “That means you’ll open up the White House?”

“No, but it means they’ll open up the Vatican,” Obama reportedly replied.
