Bush has been not-so-quietly building up for a run for the better part of a year now, headlining events, raising money and amassing staff for something. Now we know what the something is.

Bush will do himself a world of good with the GOP’s base, with a message like the one he has been taking around the state regarding party outreach.

“We as Republicans shouldn’t change our principles. We shouldn’t sell out our conservative ideology to reach these groups,” Bush said. “If President Lincoln and Ronald Reagan were here tonight, they would counsel us to do the same, to fight the good fight.”
