Democrats Complain, Get Congress’ Debt Clock Turned Off

How deep in denial are some Democrats about our fiscal situation? This deep.

During a House Financial Services Committee hearing Tuesday on the budget, two Democrats complained after House Financial Services Committee chairman Jeb Hensarling instructed that two monitors in the hearing room display a real-time running national debt clock.

Rep. and Rep. both issued complaints about the displays, according to video of the hearing.

“Clearly it is a political prop designed to message ideologically,” Ellison said.

The truth is now a “political prop.”

So now, when Democrats are talking, the debt clock will actually get turned off. It ought to be sped up.

Waters and Ellison, Jack would like to have a word with you both.

I did. Did pretty well. (Got Puritans and Plato wrong, but otherwise on the money)

My guess is that the entire Democratic Party couldn't score 50%

(got the link from Ace, btw). Test yourself. Then, ask yourself why Democrats want ALL information shut off from the public. It will be revealing.

Damn -- I scored 100%. There were a couple I wasn't entirely sure about but the answers I chose were also the answers the quiz's originators preferred.

Does this mean I am now absolute ruler of America?

I'd like to see the same "civics" test we give to naturalizing citizens become a requirment for voter registration and running for office. It would destroy the Democrat Party.

Indeed. I scored 31 out of 33 on it. Jaywalking could do a horrifying segment on Democrats' answers, if they wanted to.
