Here’s the good news for fans of the President:
A majority of Americans who watched President Barack Obama’s State of the Union address said they had a very positive reaction to his speech, according to a survey of people across the country who viewed Tuesday night’s address.
The bad news? Look who was watching:
The sample of speech-watchers in the poll were 44% Democratic and 17% Republican. Those numbers indicate that the sample is about 12 points more Democratic than the population as a whole.
And yet even with an almost 3-to-1 advantage, Teh Won still couldn’t break 53% approval.

For the sake of both my sanity and the safety of my TV set I opted to watch the Westminster Kennel Club Show.
Really? Donald Sensing at Sense of Events posted the results of the Bing.com survey, where people could rate the speech every five seconds as he spoke.
The resulting score was -86. The male and female breakout was practically identical. When broken out into Democrat, Independent, and Republican, the last two were also practically identical. The Democrats were naturally a bit more more positive, but at no time did anybody, even Democrats, post a positive score for any point in the speech.
