A Tennessee Republican has challenged President Obama — who claimed he likes to pump off some bullets while at Camp David — to a skeet shooting contest.
“He should invite me out. I want to know if he’s shooting with a .12-gauge or .20-gauge. I prefer a .20-gauge,” Rep. Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.) said this morning on CNN.
Blackburn denied that suggested Obama was making up his story, but said there should be some photographic proof.
“This is a hobby, then I think he should invite me to Camp David,” she said.
When needled on whether she really believed Obama’s claim, Blackburn reiterated, “I would think if the president said he’s skeet shooting. I would like to know with what regularity he’s out shooting play pigeons and like I said, is he using a .12-gauge or .20-gauge.”
“I will take my own gun — a .20-gauge,” she added.
Blackburn first brought up the challenge Monday on CNN. “If he is a skeet shooter, why have we not heard of this? Why have we not seen photos? Why hasn’t he referenced this at any point in time?” she said. “I tell you what I do think. I think he should invite me to Camp David, and I’ll go skeet shooting with him and I bet I’ll beat him.”
In an article published Sunday by the The New York Times, Obama said, “Up at Camp David, we do skeet shooting all the time.”

Reminiscent of the ‘Andy Griffith’ episode where a woman beat Andy at a skeet shoot in front of the whole town and Barney was just beside himself. “A woman beating Andy at skeet shooting! It just ain’t right!” But there’s a bit of a difference here. All will be right in the world when Marsha Blackburn beats our current Commander-in-Chief in a skeet shoot.
How likely is it that Obama “does” skeet shooting ‘all the time’ at Camp David? NOT BLOODY LIKELY!
My guess is that there is skeet shooting at Camp David, and Mr. Obama hears the pops from the off-duty Secret Service men every so often, and that one time, while dressed in suit and tie, he did a few shots out of curiosity until he got a kill, before moving on to something else for the day. That would be about it, is my guess.
The master should, after all, roam the plantation and take an interest in the games the field hands play.

If he's skeet shooting with a rifle or handgun, then either (a) he's doing it wrong or (b) he is one hell of a shot.
