As Paul Bedard writes at the Examiner, it’s a good thing for Chuck Hagel that Rep. Eric Cantor isn’t in the Senate. Cantor released a statement Thursday that peels the bark off of Obama for nominating Chuck Hagel to head the Pentagon.
“I am profoundly concerned and disappointed by President Obama’s nomination of former Senator Chuck Hagel to be Secretary of Defense. Recent reporting has made clear that Senator Hagel’s views and inflammatory statements about Israel are well outside the mainstream and raise well-founded doubts that he can be trusted to manage the special relationship the United States shares with our greatest Middle East ally.
“Senator Hagel’s incendiary views of Israel are only the tip of the iceberg. On Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, Iran and defense spending, Hagel’s reported views call into question his judgment about the most important matters facing our national security. Taken together, Hagel’s views represent a call for a broad retreat from the preeminent role America has played, and must continue to play, in the world during a period of profound tumult and instability.

If a war breaks out, will he send all the ones his loved into that thankless maw the middle east? Its people like Cantor, Kristol, Rubin and STEPHENS! that sicken me. We Americans had enough of people like Cantor and his ilk. It’s all the same characters. They’ve never dodged a bullet, nor have any of their loved ones and they never will. But Its ok to send American young men and women, stuck doing tour after tour, their home life suffering, and for what? Its a religious war, it can’t be won, or all the trillions and blood would have amounted for something. That ASSH*LE says Hagel is outside the mainstream? NO. Cantor is a liar. Thinking if you repeat something enough, people will believe you. Recent polls prove otherwise this creep is a craven liar.
