Today, the US Bureau of Labor Statistics reported that US unemployment remained flat in December at 7.8%. The US economy under re-elected Barack Obama created just 155,000 jobs during the month, 30,000 of which can be attributed to Hurricane Sandy. Holiday hiring had little impact. The US economy needs to create about half a million jobs per month just to keep up with population growth.
But worry not, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee has a remedy. The DCCC is holding a “resume drop” at its Washington, DC headquarters today.
With 12.2 million Americans unemployed, the resume pile could grow to be quite large.

– drop.
Uh, ‘drop’ or ‘droppings’?
Now that the fiscal cliff has been avoided, we should see job creation just roaring along. I’ll bet the January numbers will be huge! /sarc off
Four years of healing? Historically it has not taken near that much time for the economy to recover. But that would assume that the administration’s policies are intended to help the economy grow. Obviously those policies are intended to just feather the nests of favored constituents.
Did naybody not get or are late getting there unemployment this week? It was reported to me that Obama told them to hold the checks for 3 xtra business days. I don’t believe the lie. Did anybody else here this or experience this?
