The Muslim Brotherhood man who now leads Egypt has been lauded for brokering a kind of peace between Israel and Hamas in 2012. Two years prior to that, before he held the Egyptian presidency and led the faction re-writing that country’s constitution, Morsi spoke about the Israelis.
The words he used and the tone he took are both inflammatory.
In a video taken September 23, 2010, Morsi said “These futile [Israeli-Palestinian] negotiations are a waste of time and opportunities. The Zionists buy time and gain more opportunities, as the Palestinians, the Arabs, and the Muslims lose time and opportunities, and they get nothing out of it. We can see how this dream has dissipated. This dream has always been an illusion. Yet some Palestinians, who erroneously believe that their enemies might give them something… This [Palestinian] Authority was created by the Zionist and American enemies for the sole purpose of opposing the will of the Palestinian people and its interests.”
Morsi went further: “No reasonable person can expect any progress on this track. Either [you accept] the Zionists and everything they want, or else it is war. This is what these occupiers of the land of Palestine know – these blood-suckers, who attack the Palestinians, these warmongers, the descendants of apes and pigs.”
Morsi also promoted “all forms of resistance” against Israel, calling for military resistance against the “criminal Zionists” along with supporting “resistance fighters,” i.e. terrorists who attack Israeli civilians. He called on Muslims and Arabs all over the world to “support” such fighters, but did not specify what such support entails. He called on “Zionists” to be “driven out of our countries.” He stated that he does not recognize the “Green Line.” Morsi also called for boycotts against Israel and all countries that support it, including the United States. The United States is currently considering sending Morsi’s Egypt a gift of 20 F-15 fighters and 200 Abrams tanks.
The language Morsi deployed bears striking similarities to the accusations and insults that Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad routinely deploys against the country. Ahmadinejad has called for the “fake regime” to be “wiped from the map.”
Just this week an aide to Morsi predicted that Israel would cease to exist within a decade.
Morsi’s Muslim Brotherhood is the ideological forerunner to terrorist groups Hamas, Hizballah, al Qaeda and others.

Egypt gets weaker every day while Israel grows stronger. Morsi could not organize a community picnic without violent riots right now, let alone a war. Israel just completed its border fence sealing off Egypt and Israel in an impressive feat of engineering within a short time. They also initiated new military units to guard it. Arabs are lousy soldiers. Good warriors, fearless and clever but not soldiers. If you don’t know, warriors fight, soldiers fight together.
My favorite example was from the 12th century. Richard the lion hearted and 15 Knights attacked and defeated 4,000 of Sal-a-dins bodyguard, the best warriors Islam was able to put in the field. Actually, that’s a very good idea. I say that if we (Israel) are ever driven to the point of conquest, elimination or genocide we should destroy the entire Middle East, including all the oil reserves. In the case of Egypt we don’t even need WMD, we just need to tear down the Assuan dam. If the Muslims ever succeed, with the help of the West, China and Russia, in bringing about another holocaust on us, there should be a price to pay this time, as high a price as we can inflict, using whatever means in our disposal. We should make the entire region uninhabitable for generations, burn as much oil as possible, and make the rest inoperable for as long as possible. If the lives of millions of Israelis don’t count, then the lives of many more millions will perish with us – the lucky ones will go up in smoke, the rest in disease and starvation. The destruction of the oil fields will cause a surge in energy prices that will affect the global economy. So would the loss of the Middle Eastern markets and the petrodollars invested in businesses around the world. So maybe next time the world would think twice before sacrificing an entire nation to Moloch.
Of course, there’s also the option that you’d simply let us be, in which case we’ll all get to live. Or if you insist on war, the world better pray that we’ll win it conventionally. If the New USA decides to arm our enemies and abandon us then, well, don’t expect us to simply roll over and die just because that’s what you wish for.

And Egypt needs an army, why?
No country would attack Egypt because the Suez Canal sorta guarantees that the US and Europe would come to its aid no matter what. No country would want to occupy Egypt because there are 80 million people to feed who can’t feed themselves.
An army may make Egypt feel like a real country — but it’s not. A real country has an economy that can support its own people.

Not a completely impossible prediction. In the near future, Syria and Egypt may both be controlled by Islamists, while the United States is run by Obama who doesn’t have Israel’s best interests at heart.
