Conservative Rep. Steve King (R-Iowa) is hoping that a Balanced Budget Amendment can fit in his stocking, because he’s not interested in ties or socks.

“I want to wish you all a very, Merry Christmas as we remember the reason for the season being the celebration of the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ,” said King in a video released today.

The congressman wants tweets to the hashtag #DCWishList about what people want to see from Washington in the new year.

I already got mine, four days before the holiday: I don’t have to spend Christmas with Harry Reid.
