Ya can’t make this stuff up.
ANDREA MITCHELL: I think this had become sort of an impossible challenge for her to be confirmed, that she realized that, the White House realized it as well. I think they know they are on good political solid ground, as you were just pointing out. This is not going to help Republicans at all, the fact that a woman and a woman of color has been forced out of a confirmation process even before she was nominated.
Yes, Andrea, it was all about color. The color red, actually, which was bled by the four Americans whose deaths Rice repeatedly blamed on a movie.
The last Republican Secretary of State was also named Rice, and was a “woman of color,” Andrea. Is there any chance you’ll ever notice that?

She had NOTHING to do with Benghazi, idiot. Not a shocker that you work with fellow nutbag Laura Ingraham
I haven’t worked with Ingraham for several years now. If Rice had nothing to do with Benghazi, why did Obama send her out there to blame it on a movie on five Sunday political shows?
How can anyone who starts out with insults expect to be taken seriously?
I’m asking the Responsible, Mature Person you leave at the door, Jeff, when you come in here.
Seems the only idiot is you, sir! I find it reprehensible that half-witted people cannot find the horror in this thing we call Benghazi. Most reprehensible is this administration lack of respect for our constitutional rights and to apologies for them. The left will find every reason to distort or ignore facts to perpetuate their own dogma. I think the left, along with the MSM, fell off the cliff long before the debt will.
How on Earth were you the first commenter on this topic. And you may be right that she had no personal involvement in Benghazi. However she did consciously lie to the American people on behalf of an administration that not just left Americans to die but watched the event in real time. I suppose TV violence just was not providing the thrill anymore. Despicable and morally bankrupt.
And yet she was the one hand-picked by Obama to set the media narrative exculpating him. Obama’s the one who threw her into the middle of it. If he genuinely wanted her to be the next SecState he shouldn’t have tried to hide behind her skirts.
Well, actually, that was only one of a bunch of things that’ve been reported about Rice; it’s just people use the ace card as an excuse for not listening.
She had EVERYTHING to do with giving out misinformation about it. Either she relied solely on some talking points shoved in front of her without asking any questions (incompetent and foolish) or she actively participated in the misdirection. Either way, this is disqualifying behavior.
– go give Alan a bath and soak your own head while at it.
Rice was dumped because of her Africa problem
The WSJ had two op-eds by Bret Stephens regarding Ms Rice’s incompetence over the years….I wonder if the publication of those helped to change Ms Rice’s and Mr Obama’s mind on this. Bottom line, she has been an unmitigated disaster for Africa and US relations.
Andrea Mitchell – idiot.
Bring back dueling and let women do it too. Women didn’t duel a long time ago cuz men hated them, and that went double if they were non-whites. Women didn’t invent things cuz men hated them. I’m surprised so many women survived history.
If women did duel, and this were the 17th cent., the entire line-up of MSNBC would be pierced many times over.
People in the press aren’t even called for their lies any more; there’s no punishment whatsoever.
The difficulty I have with all of this is that the movie protest thing, for me out here in California with absolutely no government sources, just the internet, worked for about 2-3 days. Then things like “It was 9/11 and I’m supposed to think that was a coincidence” and “You don’t bring a rocket launcher to a movie protest” quickly undermined the official story. The *fact* that within hours of the attack the authorities *had* to have a pretty detailed outline of what happened, the *fact* that we know now they had a drone overhead (and reportedly an AC-130 Spectre gunship, also) makes it obvious that the government knew this was al Qaeda, probably within the first 24 hours.
Yet they lied about it. The President was out on the campaign trail repeating the assertion that he had al Qaeda “on the run”, and it would look bad if in the middle of him saying that it turned out it wasn’t true. Sort of a modern day equivalent of the old story about Ben Butler explaining why Fort Fisher couldn’t be taken, in the last year of the Civil War. He was testifying in front of the Senate Committee on the conduct of the war, and during the proceedings (the apochryphal story has a Senator on the committee sitting next to a door open to the outside, and hearing a passing newsboy yelling the headline) it was announced that the impregnable fortress had fallen. Supposedly Butler laughed harder than everyone else at the revelation, but this is an area where I don’t think President Obama has much of a sense of humor. So they lied, and by the time it came out that they lied, the controversy was over whether the Republicans were “politicizing” the issue…not over whether the administration had in the first place.
Sort of reminds you of the Menendez intern allegations, where again things were covered up so that they didn’t hurt the administration during the election. There has to be a way for this sort of thing to get out without it looking like politics on our side, and “fair-mindedness” on theirs.
MSNBC is where the BSM sends its ineffectual has-been dementia patients like Chris Matthews and Andrea Greenspan.
