There are stories that give me the feeling that I’m less of a pushback against the leftist/media than I am just chronicling the inevitable. This is one of the latter stories.
The chairman of President Barack Obama’s job council has endorsed China’s style of crony capitalism, saying “state-run communism may not be your cup of tea, but their government works.”
Jeff Immelt is the dual-hatted chairman of the President’s Council on Jobs and Competitiveness, and of General Electric, a huge company with businesses in many domestic and international sectors, including China.
He used a Dec. 10 television interview to suggest that China’s type of state-run capitalism has been great for business while lamenting the state of the American economy.

, they’re driving company reform, they’re driving consumer reform,” he told [host Charlie] Rose.
“They get things done,” Rose responded.
Big media, big business, big government. One. Big. Happy.
It works, as long as you aren’t the one getting the bullet in the back of your head.
I works, also, as long as you aren’t an undocumented, illegal ‘second child’ who has no rights, can’t get any identification and can’t legally work. It’s also great as long as you’re not a woman who is dragged to an abortion clinic and forced to abort your baby. Yep, China’s form of govt. works great!
It works for people like Jeffrey Immelt: the powerful and connected. After all, no one else really matters.
the chinese happily embraced, after long experiencing the lethargy and soul wrenching devastation of communism, some of the competitive concepts of capitalism that have made some of their neighbors very competitive on the world stage, economically. the common people are still poor in general, w/ some (few) exceptions. they have their elite rich as usual in these type countries. communism moving slowly toward socialism. big deal. another brain-dead experiment (socialism) w/ proven disasterous consequences.
they do have some notable advantages on the u.s. – i don’t imagine they allow almost half the population to sit on the couch all day, do drugs/drink/whatever and get free everything. also, i’m pretty sure mega-populations of illegal immigrants aren’t destroying entire portions of their country trying to get in. their kids also really want to learn, to improve their lot in life. watch out world if they ever shuck the onerous weight of central control, and really learn to embrace capitalism and experience being free.
once despots gain control in these days of overpowering military force, using communism or socialism or fascism as an excuse to seize power, w/o weapons to fight back with, the people living there are just pawns in the big political game of ‘get more power’. in the past millions have died at their leader’s whims. siberia anyone? firing squad? they buried the czar and his family deep. killing fields? death to imtellectuals? need i go on? there are many, many more.
WILL LIFE BE WORTH LIVING? The way things are going we the poor people will be better of dead than being just serving minnions to the rich and elite. the world is full of criminals and their all at the top of society.

Russia at one time was a very possible real threat to Americas sovereignty. China on the other hand has always been rather passive and historically never been a threat to Americas sovereignty.
Has all of todays generations been brain washed into the strategic theory of nation building or more rightly defined; Western colonialism of the world?
Talk about hypocrisy! How would Americans like it if some foreign nation(s) were to push or try forcing their forms of government and values on them and the Sovereignty of the United States?
Given the mind set of todays generations its no wonder why America and its future democracy and traditional values are being flushed down the toilet.
Leave the rest of the world alone and concentrate on fixing all your own shortcomings and screwups!

So says the man who wrote the rules that got the incandescent lightbulb banned. Certainly though it had to be for humanitarian reason and not that Immelt wanted to close the few GE lightbulb plants in the US and ship all production to China. In no way was Immelt thinking how getting those CFL bulbs (which the EPA rightly considers toxic waste) made in China for pennies but are sold for many times the cost of an incandescent, would boost GE’s profits, and his golden parachute, when he jumped from there to Obama’s knee.
Immelt is just a world class crook who personally saw to the importation of untold tons of mercury into the US via those crappy bulbs. No telling how much of that will end up in our water supply or how many people will be poisoned when those things break in their houses.
It’s a package deal isn’t it?

When our then Primeminister ( Persson ) went to China in the late nineties he said in a pressconference that Chinese stability served them well. There was a furious uproar in the media.He had to explain himself.
I have watched several documentaries about the governments expropriation of poor peoples land in China, leaving them desperate and in utter misery. Immelt must be aware of the effects of central planning. If he can say this without criticism from the White House then, I guess, Obama thinks like this too. It´s a shame.
I agree entirely. Obama must agree. He’s a communist, raised by communists, a fraud and a liar. He’s destroying our economy and our country.
Except for the fact the China is o longer a Communist country except in name only. China left the Marxist path a long time ago. They have more in common with fascist Italy than anything else.
National Socialism is the apt term for Chinese crony economics and nationalism to keep the masses in line.
