—apologies to Meredith Wilson and “It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas”
It’s beginning to look like a recession
Everywhere you go
Take a good look at the home sales
Mortgage applicants fail
To qualify though interest rates are low
It’s beginning to look like a recession
High-priced energy
But the best indicator you’ll see
Is now living frugally
Off of your EBT
Your employer cut hours ’cause Obamacare lowers
And he’d rather pay the fine
You’ve cut luxuries like going to movies
Or taking the family to dine
And if you lose your job you can’t find another
Though it’s not for lack of tryin’
It’s beginning to look like a recession
The Dow’s begun to tank
But please spare me all your tears
If you voted for four more years
You’ve yourself to thank

I think this will be a bit more than a recession.
So true.
The odds are that Class Warrior Barack Obama is at least ‘not uncomfortable’ with the idea of the Bush tax cuts expiring.
The next level of odds say he’d probably giggle when they did.
November 6th said a majority of the nation feels the same way.
They will wonder whotthehell happened when the whirlwind comes.
/juvenile idiots
Those Bush tax cuts took a lot of low-income people off the income tax rolls.
When those cuts expire, will those people be happy to be welcomed back?
“Let’s eat the rich,” said Obama with a smile to cheering crowds of 47%ers.
Soylent Green is people.
I don’t think you get it. He’s trying to *HELP*. He’s not a closet Marxist or Muslim or whatever, and he genuinely thinks he can fix things. All he has to do is borrow more money than we can ever pay back, raise taxes on rich people (to be fair, of course, it’s not even about revenue), print more money and enrich his buddies at Goldman Sachs, and then hire a bunch more regulators to harass small business. This will stimulate the economy, and we’ll recover.
Of course it won’t work, and a 3rd grade math student could tell him it wouldn’t, but can’t you see, he’s too smart to be argued with? The smart people all agree with him. He’s the Sheldon Cooper of Presidents, and he’s going to keep this up until the economy recovers, or he’s gone from office. Unfortunately, I don’t think the country is going to survive, at least not in recognizable form.
My hope is that the country survives and learns to stay away from all Liberal “solutions” and the Democratic Party. I hope I am wrong but I am willing to predict that what is about to come upon the US will make the end of the Wiemar Republic look like a picnic. It will be left to ingenious productive individuals to rebuild the country under God and sound principles. We just have to make sure to mark those who voted Democrat in this election and never ever give them the slightest break. When they come asking for bread give them an image of their god and pat their backs while saying “hope and change! Forward brother!”
I disagree about him “trying to help.”
IMHO, if he really and truly was, there would be a widespread and aggressive pushing of a broad range of social programs. Another Great Society or New Deal. Policies like those which inflicted the Council Housing culture upon the UK.
I am not aware of such.
I don’t think he has the cojones to be that strong a leader.
