On Sunday, two days before the presidential election, CBS News released a video clip that proves two things. The clip is from President Barack Obama’s Sept. 12 interview with Steve Kroft of 60 Minutes. The newly release clip includes this exchange between the reporter and the president.
KROFT: Mr. President, this morning you went out of your way to avoid the use of the word terrorism in connection with the Libya Attack, do you believe that this was a terrorism attack?
OBAMA: Well it’s too early to tell exactly how this came about, what group was involved, but obviously it was an attack on Americans. And we are going to be working with the Libyan government to make sure that we bring these folks to justice, one way or the other.
KROFT: It’s been described as a mob action, but there are reports that they were very heavily armed with grenades, that doesn’t sound like your normal demonstration.
OBAMA: As I said, we’re still investigating exactly what happened, I don’t want to jump the gun on this. But your right that this is not a situation that was exactly the same as what happened in Egypt. And my suspicion is there are folks involved in this. Who were looking to target Americans from the start. So we’re gonna make sure that our first priority is to get our folks out safe, make sure our embassies are secured around the world and then we are going to go after those folks who carried this out.
KROFT: There have been reports, obviously this isn’t the first time…there have been attacks on the consulate before. There was an attack against the British ambassador. Do you…this occurred on Sept. 11. Can you tell me why the ambassador was in Benghazi yesterday? Was it to evaluate security at the consulate?
OBAMA: Well keep in mind Chris Stevens is somebody that was one of the first Americans on the ground when we were in the process of saving Benghazi and providing the opportunity for Libyans to create their own democracy. So this is somebody who had been courageous, had been on the ground, had helped to advise me and Secretary Clinton when we were taking our actions against Muammar Qaddafi. And is somebody who is very familiar with the train. He was doing the work that he does as a diplomat helping to shape our policies in the region at a time when things are still fairly fragile. But I think it’s important to note that we have a Libyan government in place that is fully cooperative, that sees the United States as a friend that recognizes we played an important role in liberating Libya and providing the Libyan people an opportunity to forge their own destiny. And in fact we had Libyans who helped protect our diplomats when they were under attack. But this is a country that is still rebuilding in the aftermath of Qaddafi. They don’t necessarily always have the same capabilities that countries with more established governments might have in helping to provide protection to our folks. But beyond that, what I want to do is make sure that we know exactly what happened, how it happened, who perpetrated this action, then we’ll act accordingly.”
The president and the reporter had that conversation after Obama’s Rose Garden remarks on Sept. 12, remarks that he would use during the second presidential debate to argue that he had called the Benghazi assault a terrorist attack just a day after the attack. But as is plain above, the president had not described Benghazi as terrorism, and was refusing under repeated questioning to do so. Shortly after this interview, Obama left Washington for a Las Vegas fundraiser. CBS held the tape unreleased from Sept. 12 to Nov. 4, and when the tape finally was released, it was only as part of a large CIA timeline of events that sources who were on the ground during the assault dispute.
It was in the second presidential debate that Mitt Romney attempted to pin Obama down on his administration’s spin after the assault. But another reporter, Candy Crowley of CNN, came to the president’s defense.
ROMNEY: You said in the Rose Garden the day after the attack it was an act of terror. It was not a spontaneous demonstration.
OBAMA: Please proceed.
ROMNEY: Is that what you’re saying?
OBAMA: Please proceed, Governor.
ROMNEY: I want to make sure we get that for the record, because it took the president 14 days before he called the attack in Benghazi an act of terror.
OBAMA: Get the transcript.
CROWLEY: It — he did in fact, sir. So let me — let me call it an act of terrorism — (inaudible) –
OBAMA: Can you say that a little louder, Candy? (Laughter, applause.)
CROWLEY: He did call it an act of terror. It did as well take — it did as well take two weeks or so for the whole idea of there being a riot out there about this tape to come out. You are correct about that.
ROMNEY: This — the administration — the administration — (applause) — indicated that this was a — a reaction to a — to a video and was a spontaneous reaction.
CROWLEY: They did.
ROMNEY: It took them a long time to say this was a terrorist act by a terrorist group and — and to suggest — am I incorrect in that regard? On Sunday the — your — your secretary or –
Obama — who had clearly won the moment (largely thanks to Candy Crowley) — clearly wanted to move on from that victorious moment — and quickly.
OBAMA: Candy –
ROMNEY: Excuse me. The ambassador to the United Nations went on the Sunday television shows and — and spoke about how this was a spontaneous reaction.
OBAMA: Candy, I’m — I’m happy to –
CROWLEY: President, let me — I –
OBAMA: I’m happy to have a longer conversation about foreign policy.
CROWLEY: I know you — absolutely. But I want — I want to move you on.
OBAMA: OK, I’m happy to do that too.
CROWLEY: And also, people can go to the transcripts and –
OBAMA:I just want to make sure that –
CROWLEY: — figure out what was said and when.
OBAMA:– you know, all these wonderful folks are going to have a chance to get some — their questions answered.
As we all now know, Crowley had her facts wrong. President Obama had not called Benghazi an act of terror during his Sept. 12 Rose Garden remarks. He only mentioned terrorism in the context of noting the anniversary of the 9-11 attacks, which had been the day before. Away from the huge national audience that watched the debate, Crowley later admitted that Romney had been right “in the main,” meaning on the facts. Crowley and Obama, therefore, had been wrong.
Crowley’s behavior seemed to have been worked out with the president before the debate. Once Romney brought up Benghazi, as everyone knew he would, Obama ordered Crowley to “get the transcript,” and she waved some papers around while backing up Obama’s version of events.That moment changed the debate and temporarily buried the question of whether Obama had admitted that despite what he had been telling the American people, al Qaeda was still a threat.
Obama’s version of events, though, was a lie. CNN reporter Candy Crowley backed him up in that lie. And for weeks after that, CBS helped keep the lie alive when that network had video proving that it was a lie.
All of this proves two things, as I noted at the beginning of this piece. The first is that CBS’ and Crowley’s actions prove that the American people absolutely cannot trust the mainstream media at all. CBS had proof that President Obama lied directly to the American people about Benghazi for two weeks after the assault, and in the second presidential debate. There is no way around this: President Obama, Secretary of State Clinton, Ambassador Rice and White House spokesman Jay Carney all lied about Benghazi. The lie starts on Sept. 12, the day after the attack. But the network intentionally hid the proof that it had from the American people for nearly two months. The lie only began to unravel when Matt Olsen, director of the National Counterterrorism Center, testified that the attack had been an act of terrorism. That was on Sept. 19. But on Sept. 25, President Obama again blamed a movie, six times, in his United Nations address. The man who made that movie remains in jail on alleged probation violations. Rather than tell the truth, then, President Obama assaulted Americans’ free speech rights and is holding what amounts to a political prisoner in jail ,without hearing, until after the election. This is a very serious situation, and the debates could have clarified it all for the American people. But when CNN’s Crowley had the chance to help the American people see the president’s lie, she chose to add another lie to help him out. Her actions raise more questions. Was her role worked out with the president beforehand? Did CNN have any involvement in her actions? Were any of the debate’s producers also in what now looks like a fix? The media which should investigate this, never will. They’re barely even reporting on the Benghazi assault itself.
The second and more important thing this episode proves beyond all doubt is that the American people cannot trust Barack Obama to tell the truth about anything. The attack that happened on Sept. 11 in the consulate in Benghazi was not a protest that got out of control. It was a terrorist attack. President Obama knew that it was a terrorist attack while it was underway and Americans were fighting for their lives. But the president who loves to claim “I am my brother’s keeper” sent in no aid to those Americans, and after their murders at the hands of al Qaeda-linked terrorists, Obama and his administration lied about the attack to keep from having to admit that despite his bravado on the campaign trail, al Qaeda is not “on the run.” President Obama lied, and his lieutenants lied, repeatedly, for weeks, about what had happened. Key members of the media helped keep that lie viable, perhaps long enough for Obama to win re-election.
Those who say that Benghazi is bigger than Watergate are right. No one lost their life in Watergate, and President Nixon never held any political prisoners to cover up what was a third-rate burglary. It was not the crime that did Nixon in, but the cover-up.
But the facts regarding Benghazi are far more serious. In Benghazi, four Americans died, President Obama and his top men and women failed to send them aid, and then lied. They lied for weeks. They put a main in jail, and they spent American taxpayer dollars to blame that man in television ads that ran in volatile Pakistan. Those actions show not just dishonesty, but constitute an attack on the First Amendment by the sitting president and his administration. When it had multiple chances to expose the president’s lies, the US media helped Obama perpetrate the cover-up.
If Barack Obama gets away with all of this and is re-elected, he will take his victory, by whatever margin, as a mandate. The media will celebrate and call for unity. The Democrat-controlled Senate, if the Democrats retain control after tomorrow’s election, will do everything it can to sweep Benghazi under the rug. Barack Obama will believe that he is invincible. He will become an even greater threat to free speech and other constitutionally-guaranteed rights than he already is.

Why did the numerous requests for added security go unanswered? Why did a seven hour battle have no military response dispite urgent pleas for help from those on the front lines? Why did Obama and his acolytes continually try to link the obvious terrorists killings in Benghazi to the anti Isalm video?

If one were to look at a total big picture of the Obama foreign policy they would see a push towards the radical Islamist takeover of any country in which they have an opportunity to do so. He has not opposed any radical group that has emerged after a revolution in a non-Sharia law country. This tells me that he is setting our country up for a future confrontation with Islam and in his(?) book “Dreams from My Father”. he states that if the world is divided into two groups he will side with Islam! According to Sharia law a Muslim can lie and deceive anyone if it furthers the cause of Islam, Taqiyya, and it would appear that Mr. Obama has learned the lesson well from his early Muslim teachings. We cannot trust this man on anything that would normally be a given for any other candidate such as national security or honor of our nation. This man is at the bottom of any integrity or honesty list. The fact that CBS lied and cheated is of no concern to me because they were not elected nor does anyone have to watch their biased trash. But Obama is the one person that should have the integrity to rise above his lack of veracity when it comes to national security. The fact that he did not do this tells me that it is not just that he is a liar but that he has a reason to do so. I truly believe that he plans on disarming our nation and making it an also ran nation that has to follow the whims of the radicals in the UN.
I’m enjoying that the media, for some reason, is oh-so-willing to shoot itself in the foot. I mean, 60 Minutes didn’t have to release it, did they? Or, was their motivation placed elsewhere; Perhaps to save some shred of credibility for the future? Who knows?

All of us who come here regularly have followed it as we have with Fast & Furious. Perhaps the administration is partly grateful that Benghazi takes the spotlight off of F & F (I’m sure Holder is) but equally troubled as to how to spin, lie and deceive in order for Obama to remain unscathed.
But then, I have witnessed similar things in the past where, eventually the ardent followers of the person-of-interest are tired of said person’s abuse and ridicule and just slowly turn away from them. Such a thing may be happening because they either smell blood in the water as to his failing chances for re-election or, they’re just fed up or both.
Either way, it’s partially predictable. Never blame the ideology; Blame the ideologue for not being “pure” enough. He’s not been able to turn America in to the utopia replete with unicorns and the magic perpetual motion machines required for such an endeavor, so he must be replaced with the new ideologue who will get it right. Carter, Clinton, Hitlery, now this mush of human-being. Useless, unqualified, starkly reminiscent of every bad political leader in every “Mission Impossible” episode ever aired.
So, as the tallies come in…the words will start to come. Not from Matthews or the other tools in the MSM but from lesser lackeys who will suddenly admit, “You know, I never loved you…I want a divorce”.
The thrill is gone. The socialists will now need to re-group and re-think their strategies while simultaneously crucify Romney at every step of the way. Controlling communication to the masses of voters at its origination has been a huge part of every Radical Political Transformation Plan I have read going back decades. Changing the nature of education to a behavioral sciences approach that targets values, attitudes, and beliefs instead of each person’s own store of knowledge is a key component. But corrupting and influencing media is the other key component. To the point where one plan out of Club of Rome in early 90s mentioned budgeting for the wining and dining of media. No hotdogs in the park apparently.

CBS, the “quality” network, was founded by a Jewish cigar merchant named William Paley. Paley’s great contribution to American culture was the sixty-second ad. In Paley’s day, a method to profit from the new medium of television was as elusive as a method to profit from the internet is today.
Paley’s sixty-second commercial interruption foreclosed any possibility that the new medium would produce and screen quality fare. Fine drama can’t be continually interrupted by commercials. Nor in-depth news coverage. Quality programmer Paley twisted the newborn medium of television into an ugly dwarf.
But I don’t do the father of CBS News full justice. To properly understand Paley and his preening, self-entitled circle, you need to read the late Truman Capote’s delightful “La Cote Basque, 1965,” that so rocked New Yawks upper social circles one or two generations ago.
The best of Jews are the finest of people. Degenerate Jews like the Paleys and the Sulzbergers are the lowest scum on the planet.
Unless Obama loses the election, his bald-face lies about Benghazi will never reach the level of deserved outrage. If he does, the mainstream media will continue to cover for him. So those four deaths will have been of little note.

This Benghazi conspiracy crap is going absolutely nowhere, and it’s because:
(1) There is no scandal despite your serious efforts to manufacture one. You people can’t even seem to stick to an accusation anymore. First it was that Obama didn’t call the attack a terrorist attack. Then it was that he didn’t immediately call in the marines. Then it was that he didn’t call in the drones. Then it was that he didn’t give a cross-border engagement order. Then it was that he cackled maniacally in the situation room watching American personnel die. then it was that he threatened the intelligence community to make them cover his tracks. You folks can’t even keep straight what, exactly, it is that Obama did that was wrong or unlawful. The only thing you can all agree on is that Obama intentionally did something conspiratorial and evil, and then lied about it, probably because he hates America, and that it must be an impeachable offense.
(2) Nobody trusts the GOP anymore because the Republicans are the poster child for the boy who cried wolf. Literally everything since Day 1 has been an impeachable offense to you folks. First you wanted him impeached because he wasn’t a natural born citizen. Then you wanted him impeached for ObamaCare. Then you wanted him impeached for the auto bailout. Then you wanted him impeached for Solyndra. Now, big freaking surprise, you want him impeached for Benghazi. Maybe if this were the first time you had brought up articles of impeachment, you might have some credibility on this. But since every other word out of your mouths since 2009 has beem “impeach”, your credibility is shot. No one is listening to what you have to say. And it’s just as well, because clearly all you have is rumor and innuendo. It’s laughable, and in the end it’s just going to make people see that you folks have no principles. You’re just a bunch of dogs chasing cars.

Didn’t Glen Beck pu lish a warning via The Blaze a week or so ago warning that he knew of incriminating video being held back by a certsin MSM outlet and threaten to release it himself if that media outlet didn’t? That was quite curious. There’s gotta be a good reason for the charity he showed in giving the the chance to come clean. I’d guess it was possibly part of an agreement with a timid whistleblower.
You are not privy to any information either, so why is it you can categorically deny anything? You don’t know what happened in Benghazi any more than I do, and therein lies the problem, this administration is not answering the questions. Why hide information unless you’re trying to cover something up? If the administration had the answers, and they weren’t incriminating, why not just tell us what you know?
