This afternoon, the official Twitter feed of President Barack H. Obama sent out the following tweets in succession.
Many GOP leaders are cutting ties with Richard Mourdock for his outrageous rape comments—but Romney still supports him: OFA.BO/rEwWLL
— Barack Obama (@BarackObama) October 25, 2012
Romney’s endorsement of Mourdock is just the latest example of the severely conservative candidates he supports.

FACT: Romney’s running mate Paul Ryan referred to rape as a “method of conception” and co-sponsored a bill to redefine rape with Todd Akin.

FACT: Rep. Steve King, who Romney called a “partner in Washington,” said he’s never heard of anyone getting pregnant from statutory rape.

President Obama: “Rape is rape. It is a crime.” OFA.BO/iNwBCE

The president’s tweeted priorities speak for themselves.

Doesn’t the Obama campaign have the decency to understand that this constant use of rape victims to earn political points probably dredges up horrid memories in real rape victims. I imagine that each time they hear the word rape it brings them back to the nightmare they experienced. Please Obama, for the sake of real victims, stop talking about this every day.
Isn’t this similar to what Clinton did in 1996? In his case, he focused on issues like school uniforms, since people weren’t interested in mammoth government programs.
Bill Clinton would be the last person to campaign on rape…
Politicizing Benghazi is wrong, because of a dead ambassador. But politicizing rape is ok?
That will be tweeted back at O’s feed.
It’s a Catch-22 for Republicans. Damned if you do, damned if you don’t. You support abortion and they’ll use it to strip away some conservative votes. You say you don’t and you’re all the sudden pro-rape. Ignorant comments from recent Republicans aside, it’s really all Obama has at this point. Having to confirm that you stated that rape is a crime must be a low point for the campaign. As if anyone had doubts.
If we’re going to generalize, though, I find it humorous that a politician running on the idea of unity is criticizing someone for not distancing themselves from someone based on their view on a specific policy. If that isn’t a metaphor for his entire Presidency and attitude, I don’t know what is.
Oh great . . . . Vagina Monologues from the president.
Can they get any smaller?
Is Blackula possibly feeling violated by Romnesia?
If rape isn’t a “method of conception” how is abortion significant to rape at all?
It is a desperate tactic.
This low ball stuff is pathetic. Really, I understand but do not agree with Mourdok.
Abortion issues in this country are not what the voters want to talk about. They have little patience even for foreign policy and the terrible mistakes about Libya and Iran. I think Romney has focused on the things voters here in my swing state which is now the most important one in the election – Ohio, want to talk about jobs and economy. We have gas, oil, and coal untapped here and the rust belt is getting less rusty if we can keep the interest going.
We also have urban areas which are going Obama no matter what but I think fewer will show up to vote this time. Here we are leveling blocks of former housing and business near the city center. These people have not seen gains in the past 4 years and are leaving or hoping to be able to move to the suburbs.
I cannot predict where the votes will go but I think Romney is on the right track.
Both say they want to unleash that economy.
The ‘bullsh!tter’ in chief likes to call others what he is. The same is true also about the rapist comments. Obama is busy raping the American tax payer. Typical Satanic bullsh!t, from the bullsh!tter himself, create a problem and then condemn someone else for it.
Well no more, the evil b@stard is naked and not fooling anyone now. So it is said ‘let Haman hang from his own gallows.’
