The Washington Examiner asks “Was Obama rattled by developing donor scandal story?”
President Obama [sic] reelection campaign, rattled by his Wednesday night debate performance, could be in for even worse news. According to knowlegable sources, a national magazine and a national web site are preparing a blockbuster donor scandal story. ….
According to the sources, a taxpayer watchdog group conducted a nine-month investigation into presidential and congressional fundraising and has uncovered thousands of cases of credit card solicitations and donations to Obama and Capitol Hill, allegedly from unsecure accounts, and many from overseas. That might be a violation of federal election laws.
I am certain that ME entities have been funneling $$$ to Obama all along, spanning all the way back to his college days and at other critical moments in between… His DEEP Saudi bow wasn’t an accident… I’m disgusted that Republicans have’t been all over this guy from the get-go. They are just as responsible for Obama’s continuance as all the scum in the media who failed to vet, and who overlooked everything. Obama is the most putrid and corrupt criminal ever to occupy the WH, and opposition has been completely AWOL.
Why blame the Republicans? They’ve done what they could but the evil left wing extremists have the media and racist innuendo around every turn. It’s disgusting to think what has become of the democrat party. It’s these extremist liberals that have ruined it. Obama is a fraud, vote him out…spread the word!
Charlie – Paint me cynical that it will have any effect. One would have thought the debacles in Libya and Egypt (and that Administration’s attempted cover up about what happened Libya) would have moved the needle a little in the Rasmussen poll. One would have that, but one would have been sorely disappointed. Nothing happened, and in fact O’s standings improved a tad in the Rasmussen poll subsequent to the debacles.
I suspect that if the supposed expose has legs, the Ministry of Propaganda and Lies will do its darndest to see it is discounted after being “fact checked.”

But this is NOT a new story. Obama has been intentionally shutting down the credit card security system for years in order to defraud the voting protections…and nobody did a thing about it. Read the whole thing. I have been commenting on this for years. It’s disgusting.
What is worse…had this been a REPUBLICAN scandal…it would have been thoroughly investigated BY THE MEDIA. Instead, they conspired to kill the story. And…to allow foreign money and illegal money…to corrupt the sacred protections of this land of ours.

So Obama disabled security for campaign donations. Didn’t he do the very same thing for Libya security?

Its not just international money. Obama donation site also allowed pre-paid debit cards to be used. In this way his US donors could get around $2500 limit. After maxing out the normal $2500 limit, a donor could then purchase an unlimited amount of small figure pre-paid debit cards and since the cards are not tied to a name they could use fake names on the web site to donate. Obama claims to have soooo many people making small donations to his campaign, but in reality they might be just the same big donors breaking the rules.
All this donation crap was known in 08 and nothing was done about it or investigated then. All of a sudden it is now news?
I think this is different than the credit cart security system story, but members of the MSM will still put their fingers in their ears and chant “NA NA NA NA NA NA NA…”
Like the proverbial tree falling in the forest, is a scandal a scandal if the MSM refuses to do its job and report it?

The scandal would be old news… if it had been really covered before.
Since it hasn’t, *IF* and *WHEN* Mitt Romney chooses to raise the issue, it will be new and interesting. This gives him the power to decide which of these old scandals to raise, and when. It gives him way more power to control the narrative than a challenger should ever have in a Presidential race. And at this point, he really could pick an Obama scandal to highlight every week and not run out of fodder before election day.
Hold on to your hats, ladies and gentlemen. It’s going to be a crazy month.
He wasn’t rattled at the debate. He was uninterested and dismissive. Being in the endgame of what is amounting to an executive coup, this tiresome exercise of a debate was little more than an annoyance. Credit card fraud? Federal Election Commission? Of what matter to the great Ozymandias?
It seemed to me that when Romney was initially responding regarding $90B Obama’s admin gave to “green” energy companies, and he mentioned that many of them were significant Democrat campaign donors, was first appearance of now legendary “smirk” accompanied with a shake of his big-eared noggin.
Romney already had him on the ropes at that point, but Obama quit fighting back, perhaps with this story lurking.
