So, this happened.

It’s Friday. The Sorosbots at the Center must have decided to hit the bars early or something.
That they would launch this kind of attack after Harry Reid has been accusing Romney of not paying any taxes…
How can you have a rational argument with such people?
Bryan Preston has been a leading conservative blogger and opinionator since founding his first blog in 2001. Bryan is a military veteran, worked for NASA, was a founding blogger and producer at Hot Air, was producer of the Laura Ingraham Show and, most recently before joining PJM, was Communications Director of the Republican Party of Texas.
I guess they want to Buffet Romney no matter what he does. But it looks like Romney paid more taxes more “fairly,” for more “fair share,” than the mendacious Buffet.
They are claiming that he deferred some of his charities in order to keep his tax above 14%. They are either too stupid, too dishonest, too insnae, or all three, to know that the reason he deferred some of his charity donations was because the maximum you can claim is 30% of your AGI. That’s what he claimed, and deferred the rest.
This read like facetious satire to me. But I don’t know anything about the “Center for American Progress”.
The comments seem to suggests they’re serious. Anyone mind enlightening me on the group?
Actually, he didn’t claim the full 30% (or it might be 50% limit for churches) so my previious comment is wrong. He only claimed 2.25 of the 4 million. As it turns out, he may have done it on purpose in order to maintain the 14% number. Maybe he just has that as a minimum. I don’t think it makes any difference, although it seems now they’re harping on his comment that anyone who pays more taxes than they’re supposed to shouldn’t be preeident. But of course, he’s referring to doing it in error there, not voluntarily. Either way, this is a lot of nonsense.
“How can you have a rational argument with such people?”
You are watching doublethink in action. We have always maintained that Romney paid too much in tax and manipulated his returns. And Oceania has always been at war with Eastasia. And the chocolate ration has been increased from 30 grams to 25 grams per week.
See, it all makes sense now.
