Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney made a quip about his own birth certificate at a rally in his home state today.
The former Massachusetts governor was born in Michigan, where his father, George Romney, was governor from 1963 to 1969.
“I love being home, in this place where Ann and I were raised, where both of us were born,” Romney said while addressing the crowd in Commerce, Mich., with his wife, Ann, and running mate Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.).
“Ann was born in Henry Ford Hospital, I was born in Harper Hospital. No one’s ever asked to see my birth certificate; they know that this is the place where both of us were born and raised,” said Romney, who released his birth certificate in May.
The large crowd at the Long Family Orchard, Farm & Cider Mill cheered.
Obama campaign spokesman Ben LaBolt tweeted: “After giving the stage in Tampa to Donald Trump, Kris Kobach & Sheriff Arpaio, @MittRomney joined the birther movement today.”
UPDATE: Obama campaign manager Jim Messina sent out a fundraising email calling the comments “a new low for Mitt Romney.”

The requirement in that article that the President of the USA – and ONLY The President – is to be a Natural Born Citizen. Senators, Congressmen, nor Judges are bound by that requirement. Saw “2016″ yesterday. In the very beginning, Dinesh Desouza makes it clear that Obama’s birth was reported in two Hawaii newspapers at the time. At this point, the assumption can only be that Obama was running a confidence scam in his formative years garnering radical leftist street cred and Ivy League scholarships passing himself off as an immigrant.

While all sane people know Obama was born in Hawaii, let me remind everyone of the recently-discovered PR brochure from the 90′s for one of Obama’s books. It states unequivocally that he was born in Kenya.
The publisher claims it was a “mistake.” yea, right. One way or another the publisher either got the impression, or was told emphatically by Obama that he was “Kenyan,” because it made his story more compelling at the time. The whole incident dramatizes what a self-inventing liar the man is.
How can you say that? It was an honest mistake; Obama walked into his agent with the manuscript and said, “I wrote this—no, really. Kenya believe it?”
And from there the mistake just went on and on…

I was at this event today in Commerce, MI. There was no less than 8 to 10,000 people. Women outnumbered men 2 to 1 and plenty of seniors. It took me 3 hours to get out of traffic when leaving.
Awesome event! The crowd roared when Romney mentioned his own birth certificate. It appears liberals all over the web are now in panic mode. Yet Obama can refer to Romney as a murderer, a felon and a tax cheat.

The Constitution of the United States says, “No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States.”
Why should it not be required that any person running for the office of the president be required to formally show that he meets these two basic conditions? It should not be taken for granted that any person who seeks the presidency is a citizen of thirty-five years. Some day, yea, some day, someone will seek the office who does not meet one or both of these conditions. If it were required – on a formal basis – we would not now have this nonsense, right or wrong, about Obama’s birth status.
The President is, after all, the most important position in our government and should not get a pass just because he says she meets the qualifications. Show us the proof beforehand.

Anybody know why Obama is still getting a pass on his lack of proof he is legal to be president and a candidate for re-election? Offering up a fake computer generated birth certificate and a fake selective service card, along with using a dead person’s social security number is laughable proof of nothing. About as long as it takes for people to dig into Bill Clinton’s early associations with drug smuggling operations around an airport in Mena, AK, and his travels to Soviet Russia during his college years. As for the whole Birther thing, my conviction is that whenever it was useful for him in his career, Hawaii-born Obama has either claimed to be foreign-born or encouraged others to think he was.
I suspect the reason his Columbia University records are sealed is that he attended as a foreign student. This would make it easier to get in and also excuse the lousy grades he earned. And because “once a liar, always a liar,” I’m sure the charade continued at Harvard.
All this would be highly damaging if it came out.

His past is his achilles’ heal (that’s why they attack people who talk about it). Most American’s don’t follow politics, so just sticking to the economy won’t sway their vote. Don’t be afraid to talk about Obama’s past just because leftists will call you a “birther”. It’s time America knew the truth about this poseur of a president.
