This email came from the Obama campaign today.
Subject: Michael Jordan
From: Barack Obama info@barackobama.com
Friend –
When Michael Jordan wrote a check to my campaign for U.S. Senate in 2004, I wasn’t sure whether I should cash it or frame it.
Now Michael Jordan is taking his support to the next level. If you chip in $5 or whatever you can today, you’ll be automatically entered for a chance to meet both of us at an event later this month in New York City.
You’re invited to bring a guest — so if basketball isn’t your game, I encourage you to bring someone in your life who might enjoy meeting Michael and me over dinner, and maybe even shooting some hoops with some of the other basketball stars, past and present.
Now, I don’t know if I’ll want to sprint up and down the court that night, but I’m always up to launch a few jump shots. If you join me, don’t be surprised if I challenge you or your guest to play.
Tonight is the deadline to throw your name in — and, today only, every entry counts for two. Make a donation, and you’ll be automatically entered:

Barack
The president’s solo raffle was only $3.

Obama has picked all the low hanging fruit and is now mining the tailings. So much for his boast that he would raise a $1,000,000,000 campaign chest in 2012. I always thought it was an empty boast to scare off Republicans from entering the primaries. Next I predict Obama will be selling off his personal property on Ebay.
Actually, he will be selling the White House valuables on EBay.
yep.
Another one off the list.
Maybe he should give the option, for $5 you get a chance to meet Obama and Jordan and if you double your donation to $10 you get a chance to meet Jordan.
I’d pay a hundred times that if Obama and Jordan would both go away.
I’d contribute if Dear Liar was in a dunking booth. $5 per ball.
Mr. Preston, this post is a cheap shot. If Jordan wants to support his man, good for him. He’s not calling me an evil racist for being a Romney supporter; he’s just contributing his time and effort for the candidate of his choice. I’m all for playing hardball, especially with a cretinous crew like Obama’s, but it is as wrong to punish people simply because they want to help re-elect him as it is for the other side to single out and try to punish Romney voters.
Well, the sad and sick problem in the sea Obama and the black political Left swims in is that it’s impossible to separate out people backing an issue and those backing skin. In other words, black Americans have destroyed their own credibility and have no one but themselves to blame for it. There are in fact just a few more things happening in this wide, wonderful world than a narrow lens parsed through the racial obsessions of the black Left.
Let me know when Obama has a Wayne Gretsky night.
Now what do you mean, Fail? Obama’s supporters are all backing a half-white candidate. Proof? You want proof?
Axelrod is all white, Biden is all white, Reid and Pelosi are white, Goolsbee, Geithner…need I go on?
Reds who believe in class warfare equals racial apologists.

Nice, very nice.
Chance Jordan is supporting Obama based on issues – about 4%.
I expect Obama soon to begin asking people to donate their food stamps and WIC payments to his campaign.
You trolls, no one’s calling anyone an evil racist — they’re just making fun of the pres and MJ — fair game, I’d think. People in the public eye can support whomever they want, but should not complain when made fun of afterwards.
Tax jordan at 90 percent.
Mitt should out a tax return for every year’s post secondary education transcript ChoomBoy offers up. And do it by Oct 15 or no deal.
Please. Anyone who purchases these fey overpriced status symbols for the feet has no right to call themselves a conservative anyway.

With all due respect, I differ with your opinion in this matter. We did not change the rules, but they have been changed, for the foreseeable future. It is now standard that a business owner who supports anything more conservative than Leon Trotsky will face public opprobrium and boycotts by the Left; and if he is a big enough donor, he will face IRS audits and regulatory harassment.
Why, in the name of the all-powerful State that the Leftists worship, should they be exempt? He can choose to side with our country’s enemies. At the very least, people can criticize his choice and choose not to put their money in his pocket. If it is allowed for Those Who Are No Longer Our Countrymen, it is allowed for us.
At least until they find a clause in Obamacare that creates a tax to support those who contribute to Democrats.

I keep wondering who these lucky winners are. You’d think there’d be a campaign ad about the wide-eyed blessed creature who got to talk to Mee-shell Oh-bah-mer and Sarah Jessica Parker and Anna Wintour. Maybe they’re too piggy for Obama to claim as his own. Maybe they’re too good-looking and they threaten to upstage Michelle. Maybe they’re saying No Thanks. Where are they? Do they even exist?
Its just too damn hard to think for yourself. I will give him credit for counting his money before he closed that cash register!
Larry Bird endorsing Romney is RACIST!
Nobody I know buys Michael Jordan shoes anyway. Too danged expensive.
Not being a ghetto resident, who cares?
Relax, people.
Michael Jordan has not talked about politics publicly ever. That he appears with Obama now does not automatically elevate him to Sean Penn/Jane Fonda status.
Also, surely you knew that 95% of black people will vote for Obama. That Jordan is among that 95% is not a surprise. That he doesn’t announce it daily makes him better than most.
