My wife and I both stopped at Chic-Fil-A in Los Angeles last night. The crowd wrapped around the building and everyone was happy and polite and cars driving by were honking and giving us high fives. It felt good to be around decent, patriotic Americans. It restored my confidence – which had been lagging – mainly due to the magnifying effect of the media and culture which makes it feel like we’re isolated and alone. We are not. We are many. We are the majority. We just have to make the effort to show it.

I read it to find out what “everything” the OWS’rs claim to have changed. I’ve posted this before, so forgive my redundancy, but the sweet irony of right wing conservative activism committing an act of commerce on behalf of an unfairly unconstitutional targeting of a private enterprise compares to the OWS crowd’s demand for free porta-potties while they break laws and trash the public spaces we pay for couldn’t demonstrate more clearly the divide between traditional Americans and the hate America crowd on the left. I think what got everybody up in arms was the mayors of Boston, Chicago and other cities threatening to use their power against companies whom have different views on a issue. It’s their threat of abuse of their power that is so disturbing. Suppose the owner of a company went on TV and said he supported an end to Ethonal subsidies and the mayor from a city in corn producing state like Iowa threatened to keep them from doing business in their city. I think there would be a similar reaction!
