The Democrats have tapped former President Bill Clinton to try to make the case for Obama’s economic performance at the DNC convention in Charlotte next month. ABC reports that Democratic Senate candidate Elizabeth Warren will open for Clinton.
“It will be an honor to share the convention stage with President Clinton on Wednesday, and to talk about what is happening to America’s families,” Warren said in a statement released by the Democratic National Convention Committee. ”I grew up in a hardworking family, in an America that was investing in kids like me. President Obama is committed to making sure that America has a level playing field for all our families and to ensuring that every kid has the opportunity to make it.”
Warren is running against Sen. Scott Brown, who won the late Ted Kennedy’s seat in a special election in 2010. Warren has been engulfed in controversy after her past claims to Cherokee Indian heritage surfaced. She apparently claimed to be Cherokee to receive preferential hiring treatment at the universities for which she has lectured. She continues to insist that she is a Cherokee, despite the fact that Cherokee genealogists have found no evidence to back up that claim. Cherokee tribal representatives have tried for weeks to meet with Warren, but she has brushed them off. One of her ancestors was among the troops who forcibly moved the Cherokee along the Trail of Tears.
None of this seems to bother President Obama or the Democratic Party.
“She was asked to speak because President Obama knows that Elizabeth is one of the strongest advocates for what’s at stake for the middle class– and our shared vision to move the country forward,” Mindy Myers, Warren’s campaign manager, informed supporters in a fundraising email shortly after the news broke, according to the ABC report.
Warren’s “advocacy” has also stirred controversy. In Sept 2011, during a “Talking Tour” she delivered strident remarks on the tax debt that successful business owners owe the rest of society.
President Obama would echo those remarks in Roanoke, VA in what has come to be known as the “You didn’t build that!” speech.
Obama was apparently using Warren’s speech without attribution, in his Roanoke speech. It turns out that both Obama and Warren borrowed their thinking from Berkeley professor and far left activist George Lakoff.
Neither Clinton, Warren nor Obama have significant private sector work experience.
Right, Dizz, government regulation, titanic debt, black-hole welfare programs, and ever-increasing taxes created the middle class, not a vibrant economy. 16 trillion in debt today, 25 trillion by 2022. Forward! Just like California and Europe.

During the 1960′s or maybe early ’70′s Paul Revere and the Raiders sang a song called, I believe, “Cherokee Nation”. Part of the lyrics were “proud to live, proud to die.” I think Sen. Brown needs to get permission to use that song on every occassion in his re-election campaign just in case the Mass voters forgot.

Let’s see, at the DNC convention a faux Indian and a faux former “Black” President and the “Real thing” will be giving the bases addresses. Can imagine this “dog-and-pony” show will excite some ‘clumps’ of the DNC’s electorate.
This upcoming DNC convention is shaping up to be White House’s “Last Hurrah!”
Administration pundits are quietly saying under their breaths “this looks like ‘circling-the-wagons’ to me!”
“Slicing and dicing” America’s electorate into cloisters of voter blocks, may be a politically savvy strategy, but all it has done is create new, smaller voter blocs.
Traditional “White, Black, Hispanic and Asian” catagories will remain as such…Axelrod’s plan of lumping LGBT’ers, Gender Based Voting, Collective Bargaining, contraception, racism et al into clumps of voters (creating new planks for these artificial blocs) will serve to divide the DNC Convention not America’s vast electorate.
These “Axelrod created voting blocs” , with their individual messages, will by definition be “small clumps of voters.” And the White House staff, as well as their handmaidens in MSM and DNC are wringing their hands, trying to figure out why their polling is showing smaller voter enthusiasm… their strategy was to create “small clumps of voting blocs!!!” It worked. Their slice of the electorate has to be smaller, because it’s in smaller clumps.
See, the large picture all White, Black, Hispanic and Asian voters want is family values, good education, good economy and above all a Job. Axelrod’s “slicing and dicing” these catagories has had the exact inverse effect…left Obama with a smaller slice of the pie.
This is the reason for the smaller convention center, calling “Bubba” out of retirement and every TV, print media as well as social media types to obfuscate what We The People recognize as a fatal flaw…too late to spin this one.
Romney goes for the “big picture” lays out a savvy economic plan…he’s just “gunned down” Obama’s prairie schooners. God Bless America. Amen.

In other words, there’ll be “Lotsa-Folks-Ta-Haunt-Us”. With speeches we’ve heard before. With the same old lies chasing the same old half-truths for the millionth time. With phrases we don’t wish to hear ever again. A bridge to boredom!
One remaining question: Given the “dog and pony show”, which dog will BO eat this time, and which pony throw under the bus? — That could be amusing, perhaps even -mildly- interesting.
If your analysis proves right, some dogs will bark loudly, some ponies buck madly, and a bus or two turn out of convoy. Let’s hope so, and be ready!
