The story is up at Daily Caller. Quote:
“President Obama’s greatest success was actually his greatest failure,” Miniter told The Daily Caller Friday. ”Leading From Behind,“ he said, traces the arc of six key Obama administration decisions, and shows how the president made them — and, often, failed to make them.
[Headline corrected. Sigh.]

Obama killing Obama?
Ack. Thanks guys.
Oops. Major typo in your headline. Obama cancelled three attempts to kill *Osama* not Obama.
Both dedicated to the destruction of America. The slip is understandable.
Suicide?
Might want to correct Miniter’s name in the headline, too.
{Full disclosure i have 5 sons}…President hugo-bama was not my choice.(I would have chosen a tropical disease instead)but he got 2 very important thing right. We Dont own the world,Iraq,Afghanistan, the Indian ocean, the Persian Gulf, etc. The best way to avoid a world war is to[again] not own the world. And he pulled out! Also; all arabs are not crazy! So lets talk because im alot more concerned about Russian war ships in the Caribbean.
That’s not surprising. Obama needed his ace in the hole for when he was in political trouble. It’s not unlike how Clinton threw cruise missiles around whenever he got on trouble.
Daily Caller now listed as an “attack site” and blocked by Firefox…..
Obama’s “gutsy call” seems to be limited to having finally found the “guts” to overrule Valerie Jarrett.
– he would need three tries at offing himself.
Like Nero…:
“– he would need three tries at offing himself.”
Remember ‘Third time’s the charm?
How can we charm you today?
The day after the assassination of Osama bin Laden, an interview appeared at SocyBerty.com, a web site that accommodates personal submissions. The interview was with a White House insider who related all the twists and turns leading up to the final issue of the order to go ahead with the attack on bin Laden. This interview has details that are not mentioned in the Daily Caller review of Leading From Behind by Richard Miniter.
According to the interview, it was Panetta, who finally issued the order to go ahead – without the knowledge or approval of the President. This was done with the knowledge and agreement of Clinton, Gates and Chief of Staff Daley.
The interview can be found at http://socyberty.com/issues/white-house-insider-obama-hesitated-panetta-issued-order-to-kill-osama-bin-laden/#ixzz22EDuE0PP
The White House insider considers that what happened was a ‘temporary coup initiated by high ranking intelligence and military officers’. A coup. That is quite frightening. We are very fortunate that all persons involved were honorable and had the best interests of the nation at heart. We should not depend on our good luck at that time and expect that should Obama be reelected and vacillate again we will be so fortunate in the outcome. We would be fools if we allowed a man who was in thrall to Valerie Jarett rather than to the advice of career military and intelligence personnel to return to the Oval Office.
There is no other incident that illustrates Obama’s incompetence better than this. There is also no other incident that illustrates his mendacity better than this – as he has insistently claimed that it was he who took out bin Laden.
I am surprised that this interview was not better known. I am glad Miniter’s book addresses this period.
