I love the Obama for Ex-President sign. I’d carry that, happily.
Never understimate the ingenuity of the American people. Love it!
brilliant!
This is the ingenuity and creativity Obama is trying to destroy.
Go, America!!
HA HA! Thats funny. Right up there with the picture of some troops in Iraq holding the sign saying “Halp us Jon Carry – We R stuck hear n Irak.” I love it when a stupid politician’s words circle back and bite them in the arse!
If some one else is responsible for the success of a business, who then is responsible when a business fails?
But…but…but those business owner hogged the roads and blocked the bridges (to nowhere).
Obama’s storyline blew up because too many of us built a business or know others who struggled and succeeded. He insulted all of us and showed who he is. Begone dear leader.
The non-partisan research group, Center on Budget and Policy Priorities finds that the vast majority of the deficit increase after the economic downturn are direct result of three issues: 1)the Wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, 2)Bush-era Tax Cuts and 3)Economic downturn (loss of tax revenue). Recovery measures (stimulus) make up the rest (about 25%) at the start of the downturn in 2008 and are projected to be repaid almost completely by 2014 whereas the other issues are projected to persist (CBPP, May 10, 2011). According to the congressional budget office, the national debt was at about $10 Trillion when the Obama administration took over. It is quite an exaggeration to claim Obama built $15 Trillion dollars of public debt. Exaggerations can be amusing, unless one suspects, as is the case here, that the people making the exaggerations, believe them.
Yes, almost as much of an exaggeration as yourfact-free blame-bush diatribe. Let’s see, how long now has it been since out government had a budget – oh yeah, that’s not Obama’s fault – he didn’t build one. It’s not that bastard republican Harry Reid’s fault – oh, snap, he’s a democrat.
No, GWB is standing behind the curtain, making these democrats spens, spend, spend; making Bernanke print, print, print…
Meanwhile, we have an admitted tax cheat at Treasury, a felony conspirator at Justice, idiots everywhere, and no adult in charge.
We know who to blame. We’ll apportion the blame in November.
So I’m curious, Kirkwood, Does Obama’s Office of the Director of Progressive Media and Online response pay well?
I suspect that Kirkwood is a parody from his closing sentence:
“Exaggerations can be amusing, unless one suspects, as is the case here, that the people making the exaggerations, believe them.”
Unintended or not, that’s funny stuff Kirkwood.
I wrote the following comment almost a year ago. Earlier this week it was announced that the Federal debt went up another trillion dollars this year.
“President Obama and the Democratic Congress tripled the amount of money we borrow each year.
When President Bush entered office, 1/20/01, the debt was at $5.7 trillion.
When the Democrats took control of both houses of the Congress on January 3, 2007, the debt was at $8.6 trillion. So in six years, Pres. Bush and the Republican Congress increased the debt by three trillion dollars while dealing with the aftermath of 9/11 and fighting the war on terror. (increased the debt by $500 billion a year)
When President Obama took office on January 20, 2009, the debt was at $10.6 trillion. So in two years President Bush and the Democratic Congress raised the debt another two trillion dollars. (raised the debt by a trillion a year)
In January 2011, when the Republicans took control of the House of Representatives the debt was at $14 trillion. In two years, President Obama and the Democratic Congress raised the debt by three and a half trillion dollars. (raised the debt by $1.75 trillion a year)
So President Bush (even with a Democratic Congress his last two years) left us a debt of $10.6 trillion, and a deficit of $1 trillion a year. The Bush administration added $5 trillion to the debt in eight years.
After two years of President Obama we have a debt of $14 trillion dollars, and a deficit of $1.75 trillion a year. The Obama administration has added $3.5 trillion to the debt in two years.”
About two years after the attacks of September 11, 2001, I read a number of articles trying to summarize the various costs that followed from the attacks:
The immediate cost of all the thousands of lives, aircraft hulls, loss of hundreds of millions of dollars worth of rescue, fire, and law enforcement vehicles and equipment, the cost of the buildings collapsed and damaged, the furnishings, computer, electrical, broadcast towers, insurance claims and benefits paid out for all the above; Burial costs and medical care for survivors, injured and sickened rescuers;
Loss of income from so many millions of square feet of some of the world’s most desired and expensive commercial office space; Loss of income from the broadcast towers on the WTC; disruption of the activities of all the companies housed in the buildings; costs of recruiting, replacing, training, and new office space for staff lost;
Many months of subsequent disruption to the U.S. travel industry; disruption to the U.S. airlines, vacation spots, hotel & entertainment businesses; job losses and unemployment payments to employees of affected industries;
Years of clean-up and re-construction of sites damaged by the attacks;
Disruptions caused by increased security; Costs of the so-called 9-11 Commission, investigation, testimony, additional crimes committed by various people involved; re-organization of various federal department under the new Department of Homeland Security; et cetera ad infinitum…
The figure for the final tally on which several articles converged was something on the order of a FULL TRILLION DOLLARS in costs to the U.S. Economy.
That’s for ONE successful terrorist attack. And people still argue that it didn’t make sense to mount a military response to that attack.
Hmmmm.
I recall that right up to the day of the attacks, the Democrats in the House and Senate had refused to even VOTE on a crowd of Bush appointments to cabinet posts and various high-level agencies, because they were still throwing their infantile temper tantrum over Mr. Gore’s loss in the previous election. Millions of Democrats STILL characterize that with the idiotic claim that the Supreme Court GAVE the election to Bush, when in fact all they did was tell the State of Florida that they had to proceed with the rules the Democrat Party had in place for conducting the election within its borders. The New York Times itself finally grudgingly acknowledged that Bush won EVERY SINGLE RECOUNT, regardless of how much the Democrat electoral officials tortured and twisted the rules to try to get a majority for Al Gore.
I’ll never forget how Clinton’s National Security Advisor during the years that Osama Bin Laden could have been dealt with, went into the National Archives shortly before he was scheduled to testify before the 9-11 Commission on just exactly what the Clinton Administration had known and done when it had the chance.
Of course, Berger used the opportunity to STEAL a bunch of documents and remove them, then destroy them so we can never know what his boss might have done if he wasn’t constantly having the Presidential Staff polished.
Traitors.
