Ed Rendell to Obama: 'Pointing the Finger of Blame at Someone Else Doesn't Resonate Anymore'

Appearing on CBS This Morning today, former DNC chair and former PA Gov. Ed Rendell once against criticized President Obama for blaming others for his own failure to turn the economy around.

Responding to a question from CBS anchor Erica Hill, Rendell said “First of all, it’s OK for the president to go back and say ‘Remember when we were losing 750,000 jobs a month, now we’re actually gaining jobs.’ That’s OK. But to keep pointing the finger of blame at someone else doesn’t resonate anymore. People are getting sort of tired of that.”

President Obama claimed responsibility for the economy three years ago, but since that time as the jobs numbers have stalled, he has increasingly turned to blaming others. His former White House press secretary, Robert Gibbs, used his appearance on the Today Show this morning to once again blame Bush.
