President Obama was oddly interrupted by a reporter in the Rose Garden moments ago as he announced the new Homeland Security policy of deferring deportation action on young illegal immigrants and defended his executive order as “the right thing to do.”
“These are young people who study in our schools, they play in our neighborhoods… they pledge allegiance to our flag,” Obama said. “They are Americans in every single way but one on paper.”
“This is not amnesty, this is not immunity, this is not a path to citizenship, it is not a permanent fix,” the president said before a person, reportedly Neil Munro of The Daily Caller, interjected with a question.
“Excuse me, sir; it’s not time for questions, sir,” said Obama, who didn’t take any questions at the announcement. To a second interruption, he snapped, “I’m not asking for an argument.”
“These kids deserve to plan their lives in more than two-year increments,” the president continued, adding that Congress still needed to take DREAM Act action because the order is just a “stop-gap measure.”
“It makes no sense to expel talented young persons who are, for all intents and purposes, Americans.”
As Obama walked away from the podium, a voice called out, “What about American workers who are unemployed while you import foreigners?”

You’re going to get one whether you ask for it or not.
What El Jefe is asserting is the power to enforce the law only when he feels like it…and he ought to be impeached and removed from office for even suggesting it.
This is not surprising, since the Democrats have always stood for unequal application of the laws (e.g. Jim Crow laws), but it shouldn’t be tolerated.
The tyrant wasn’t asking to be questioned, just obeyed.

I loved how he spun around and ran back into the White House, that was classic.
So the reporter was asking what it is.

This is a country founded upon the rule of law. The “one” way, the primary way, in which these people are not Americans is that they came here in viloation of the law. But, the law means nothing to Obama.
No, you didn’t ask for an argument but instead, created one while again ignoring our separation of powers.
Of course, the good thing about all this is that if it is okay to come into a land because you have an economic need to, that you feel there is something there you want and that you have the strength to take it–and this is something that man has done since the beginning of time, and which we have hopefully nearly reached the point where we evolve past it and build instead of take–if this is the case justifying those here illegally, including their children, then any criticism by the Left of the Pilgrims, Western Pioneers, et al. should be seen merely as the anti-West, anti-American, anti-white prejudice it is.
After all, the argument used for Indian disposession was that they had a lot of land, did not have a lot of people, did not really do much with the land, and it could be used more productively by the settlers to help a greater number. The settlers would do the jobs the Indians didn’t want to…Farming.

Once again Barack Obama was hoping to set the narrative, regain the offensive and change the subject off the economy when now that one clip will be played over and over for the news cycle.
The economy will still be the subject and made worst by this major policy shift to use the Presidency to help re-elect himself by executive fiat. There is only one word for it.

The Friday afternoon announcement would have been ignored, and the Rose Garden speech would have been quickly forgotten, if not for The One’s reaction to a reporter’s question.
You betcha, that shouted question and the sharp reaction will make it onto the news.
There had been some speculation that with Obama’s thin skin, it wouldn’t take much for him to snap back at someone.
I think for the upcoming presidential debates, Romney should just defer all his time to Obama, and dare him to just answer unrehearsed questions for 60 minutes from the audience. Barry would blow his stack!

This guy should be nominated for a Pulitzer… It’s the spirit of old fashioned Journalism with sharp elbows……but, alas, I understand the Pulitzer Committee is solidly Liberal.
Obama will do whatever he thinks is necessary to win a second term. And if that works for him, there won’t be any more two party Presidential elections in our future. Obama, his cabinet, and all of his czars are Communists. Democrats will have to decide whether they are Americans or just Democrats this year. There will be no turning back from Communism if Obama wins. America will cease to be “that shining light on the hill” and will become just another run of the mill nation state which is subservient to the One World government that will control every aspect of our lives. We will all live like piss ants after that, doing whatever we do at the pleasure of the government. Democrats need to decide, this year, whether they really want their children to be born into servants of the State, raised by the State, and to live for the State. This sure ain’t the vision of liberty loving individuals controlling their own destiny, is it? Anyone But Obama in 2012!
