Here is another piece of the Obama born in Kenya puzzle to consider.
His mother died in 1995. She would have seen the promo piece flaking her only son’s first book. So why did she not ask to have the birth place error corrected?
To be fair, Breitbart does say that the founder never did, nor does the site now, support “birtherism” in any way, shape, or form. The point of the piece is to show how Obama and those around him exploited multiple reinventions of himself, and how he’s played fast and loose with his history.
Yeah, well, that won’t stop the lunatic birthers from coming out and gumming up the works and the liberals saying “See? The ARE nuts.” And, they might be right.
Well, to be fair, the “they are nuts” argument looks a lot weaker now.
Even though I suspect he really was still born in Hawaii and produced this as a front to get student aid or the like, being able to point at this makes “nuts” into merely “weak argument” (weak because they still have to explain away the Hawaiian local paper birth notices, which make little sense to fake without a diabolical plot to make him President later in life…).

No, but it does make sense as a way to provide a foreign born baby with the right to American citizenship, something that was (and I presume still is) commonly done by the Japanese in Hawaii.
The local paper birth notice thing is not a slam-dunk against the birthers.

When the primary was in doubt I thought as you do, that once Romney was done slinging mud by the dumptruck load at his Republican primary opponents he would take a “Mccain like” tact against Obama. Much to my surprise (and time will tell) he and his team seem to be hitting back punch for punch (and very effectively) on each new meme of the week thrown out by team Obama. So I hold out hope that the Romney of the primary will pursue Obama with the same veracity.

That is correct BUT the “born in Kenya” aspect of this story can not be ignored because it was used as a marketing promo piece and the young Obama must have signed off on it. Let the games begin!

It seems like a no-win situation. He’s Kenyan, except when he’s not. Served its purpose back then. Now he’s Hawaiian, eligible for the Presidency. When he’s out of office, he’ll be Kenyan again, arguing Schwarzenegger ought to run for the GOP nomination because it doesn’t make a difference.

Considering the desperation of Harvard Law to show their racial diversity during the time period – could Obama have gotten the position on the Law Review for some reason other than merit????? Hmmmm????
What we are seeing is not necessarily a vindication of the birthers (though it actually might be) but rather a massive “Narrative Rupture”.
If the representation in the biography is true then he is not eligable for the Presidency. If it is false, then for what purpose did BHO erect this biographical narrative? Now we really need to see those college records to determine if BHO obtained any foreign aid scholarships or other benefits based on the claim of Kenyan birth. If so then there is potentially an issue of criminal fraud. So the box the BHO now finds himself in is this: he is either inelligable for the presidency or he is a fraud, possibly to the point of being a criminal. I am sure the Whitehouse is at DEFCON 2 right about now.
If not a vindication of the birthers’ argument, it IS a vindication of birthers’ suspicions since people on his side were birthers in the 1980′s.

Either way he needs to get removed from being POTUS. The problem is the one to replace him sinks also. Still at least he will take longer to take the USA down the crapper. And we keep our Constitutional freedoms longer. Then have a chance to get it right the next time around.

This “Obama” subject just keeps on raising questions that are smellier and smellier.

While is sufficient evidence for further investigation, that is on top of what we already had before. And nothing has been done. I did a web search on Obama “literary agent” Kenyan. In the first 50 entries, there were none from an American MSM print or broadcast outlet, with the exception of a small CBS blog. Nothing in print or on the air. There is far better mainstream media coverage in Britain.
It will not be allowed to be covered here. There will be no calls for Obama’s records. Our Republican “opposition” will keep silent. Aside from the fact that it is not physically safe to act against those who do not recognize the law; there is the problem that even if we had ironclad proof that he was not “natural born” or if it was shown he was not a citizen at all, the Republican Party would help in the cover-up.
Untangling the damage from an unconstitutional president would be bad enough, a bloody nightmare that would require long prison sentences for a lot of people, if not firing squads if there were real justice. And the sentences would be bipartisan. Sins of omission at the very least. But the real risk for both sides of the Political Class is that, after all, once it is admitted that they would allow something like this once; for some reason people might not trust them not to do it again if they thought it was to their benefit.
Even if Obama is removed from office, it will be swept under the rug.

This will put a lot of pressure on the Obama campaign to produce ‘Barry’s’ academic transcripts and records. Was he riding an Elizabeth Warren style lie into better college placements? Is he truly an African? What breed of dog, specifically, did he eat?
Maybe now some of the leftist media types will actually read his books and be SHOCKED, SHOCKED to see Communism and Socialism running rampant through Obama’s ideological development.
The requisite dissembling will be lots of fun to watch.
