Avante! (Forward!) is the official newspaper of the Portuguese Communist Party (PCP). Founded in 1931, it continues to be published to this day. The newspaper’s motto is Workers of the World, Unite! and has been present in every edition of the newspaper since the very first.
Avante was shouted at every communist demonstration I ever saw (reported or in person) growing up. And here is a link to the venerable publication so you can see the sort of impartial, non-partisan reporting they do..
So, for a political campaign that starts on Karl Marx’s birthday… Why choose the campaign slogan Forward? Granma was too obvious?
While I’m more than willing to ascribe socio-pinko tendencies to all things Barack, I think the explanation’s simpler than that.
The “smartest man in the room” thinks the slogan has something to do with golf. FOREward.
One gets the impression a concerted effort by all things marx/lenin is making a major effort in seizing control of everything government in the Western Hemisphere after having been quiet and mostly underground since the 1900′s.
For example, besides existing publications in European nations, and continuous attempts at implementing systematic government control over everything economic and political in those European nations,these marxists/leninists always retreat in self flagellation, with tomes explaining their policy failures.
Now, in the Western Hemisphere, these same marxist/leninists are in a sort of Renaissance, New Beginning, Western Spring, call it what one wills. In the USA, ouvert communist riots, destroying property, attempts at destroying everything capitalistic and democratic (a la the 60′s). In Latin America, these same European National exports are flexing their muscles, attempting to usurp all things economic and government.
Even Fidel Castro is flooding Brazil’s social media with propaganda, stating:

With Mr. Obama’s Executive Order 13609 and NDAA, one wonders how far are marxist/leninists in the USA going to move America to European type marxist/leninist failures?
