Ann Romney: Breast Cancer Battle Was a Challenge and a Blessing

Ann Romney, the wife of GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney, appeared on America’s Radio News Thursday to discuss her battle with breast cancer. Mrs. Romney, whom Democrat operative Hilary Rosen attacked a few weeks ago for being a stay-at-home mom, says that she fought breast cancer with husband Mitt at her side. Ann Romney was diagnosed with breast cancer in January 2009, and is also battling multiple sclerosis. Click to hear the interview.

ANN ROMNEY: I’ve had a couple of serious health blows and so you again, just deal with the cards that are dealt you and push forward…You also realize that everyone faces challenges in life and that we all will be dealt a challenge…We cannot escape life without facing these very serious challenges…It makes us more human, more understanding of others who are going through their own sorrows. And so for me, it’s opened my heart up and it’s made me see others in a different light…It’s all in all for me been a blessing in my life.

America’s Radio News anchors Lori Lundin and and Chris Salcedo interview Mrs. Romney in this segment. Lundin has been diagnosed with the same type of breast cancer Mrs. Romney had, in the past couple of weeks. Our thoughts and prayers are with Lori Lundin as she battles cancer.
