Well, you did it, lady! You sold out your own nation every time you called someone a “racist” who was trying to maintain the culture that you now miss. You kept going left because it was “sophisticated” and “intellectual.” You lived in denial that anything was happening and now you look around and find it’s too late.

They’re PC cowards. And the first step to a cure is admitting what the problem is. Fine, she goes out to talk to them, on film, in public – how “brave.” Would she ever step out of her PC comfort zone to actually lobby in public for policies to deport these Muslim nuts or campaign for a party that would? Having spent 6 years in Britain, I can tell you that the people there are far stronger and more capable than you give them credit for, and highly intelligent, and quite frankly, if you choose to look at British history you would find that without Britain we would not have the western world as it is today.
Are there problems in Britain? Sure. But their problems pale in comparison to our own, expecially with our feckless leadership. Being an American, I am offended by your comments against our allies and friends, and your comments serve nothing more than to create the idea to the British that Americans are nothing more than fat, bored, boorish people who do nothing but look on others from an imagined sense of superiority.
Having lived and worked in London for 3 years I can also attest to the quality of the British. It’s unfortunate however that the multitudes who lament the turn of events over the last two decades have not been more assertive in their opposition to foolish policy. England, and most of Europe for that matter, are legitimate battlegrounds that have yet to go truly hot. I’m afraid it’s gone past the point of being able to legislate away. They are the front line now for western culture’s stand against the relentless march of Islam and America had better pay full attention and provide support when and where it can. The battle is brewing here too.
That is one brave young woman. The intolerance of Islamic fundamentalism doesn’t get any more blatant than this. I find it interesting that the same Muslims who refuse to recognize the laws of non-Islamic countries are the first to claim the freedoms and protections that those same nations provide. Try having a protest march through downtown Riyadh.

Over 30 years ago we lived in England for three years while my bride and I served in the USAF. Our first child was born in Oxford. It was a wonderful time – drinking beer and throwing darts with WWII vets in the pub, meeting and visiting with friendly people (farmers, artisans, professionals, laborers, OAPs, an entire spectrum of folks) in the one shop in the village, being accepted as villagers regardless of our origin – to live an a rural English village where everyone seemed to have a deep pride in their heritage. Visits to London, Cambridge, Oxford, and other cities were always fun and with very few exceptions we met friendly, helpful Brits (and assorted Scots, Irish, Welsh). We cherish our time there and the wonderful memories. Seeing the first video clip is like a gut punch – sickening to watch as well as heart breaking. It’s like seeing a dear friend that has been ravaged by a chronic disease – which I suppose it is.

They are very socialist and although they claim to love their country, it sure doesn’t feel like it. Expressions of patriotism are discouraged or mocked, and the only reason people seemed to show much pride was for what they were given – ‘free’ health care and the like.
It’s tragic. They are not breeding, they loathe their own nation and culture and they’ve done a very, very good job of destroying both. As The Instapundit puts it, the future belongs to those who show up. England will be done and gone within 50 years just due to demographics. They’ll likely be the last of the European nations to collapse, but collapse they will.

I applaud her for having the courage to confront them like this. I think that a lot of the Leftists in Britain simply do not understand or accept the threat. They simply don’t take it seriously and that denial allows them to scoff at the idea that these people are not into compromises. They are not there because they admire native British people or British culture. Britain is just a piece of territory for them to occupy and eventually re-make in their own image. Once more people are willing to admit this to themselves I think that the British will start to finally remember who they are.

3 years ago I spent a sabbatical writing a book about Christianity in London. It was a mix of history, guidebook, and apologetics. London/England has played an enormous role in the history of Christianity and still has a vital Christian community despite what you read. The book is unpublished, which was disappointing but understandable. What was amazing to me was the apathy, areligiosity and ahistorical Weltanschuung of so many Britons. I think we are seeing the results of that. It won’t end well.

Making judgements isn’t a bad thing. The New Testament verse about judging (which seems to be the “moral” foundation of this position for so many people), never gets quoted in its entirety. “Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.”
Ain’t nothing wrong with judgement, if the measure is true and righteous. It’s the hypocritical judgement that’s the problem, both in Matthew chapter 7 and elsewhere in The Bible. You know, like judging people for judging while you’re saying that you’re not judging them.

Its traceable to the disdain for their country that so-called intellectuals spread in Britain and here. The average student in the US and Britain cannot articulate why their countries are better than the hellholes elsewhere in the world.
“Intellectuals”(narrowly credentialed people with very little knowledge of history or economics) trashed Britain since the 1920′s. Britain was an imperial power they said, as if India was worse off for the British instead of better off. As an imperial power it was “bad” no matter what good it did and what the alternatives were.
Russia was the land of the future, insisted gullible intellectuals who were blind to the oppression in Russia under communism (it was for good purposes!), and indifferent to the freedom in the US and Britain.
Even on the verge of WWII, the self-styled intellectuals curled up with Stalinist tracts instead of supporting their own country.
Since Britain wasn’t “perfect” as the USSR hoped to be, the intellectuals, who fancy they would be valued more in a communist dictatorship, have continued to savage the Western democracies while they pine over Cuba and long for the USSR.
I hope the process is reversed somehow. I really admire the British. The labor party there ought to be excoriated on this one issue till time immemorial. Immigration is fine: but swamping a country with people who detest it except for the benefits was malicious. (The indians, hindus and sikhs, however, have been quite good).
But it must be hard to stand up for western democracy when you’ve been taught all your life that its no better (and probably worse) than other political systems. We see the same crap here in the US with college professors trashing the US on a daily basis. Even in middle schools US history is often taught as one long apology for the “oppression” of Asians, blacks, women, etc. Kids come out apologizing for using the A-bomb, for Vietnam and everything else.

I think there are two types of liberals. The rich well protected types, ie politicans and Hollywood elites who pretend to like diversity but live in all white communities, and know diversity isn’t always good.
The second is like Stacey hear. She never dealt with other people nor examined other culturals, but was told if she believed they were all equel she was ‘good’. So she believed you could allow millions of islamists into their country, and it would have no negative effect. In fact any problems would be the racist whites who could not possible be right because they felt the Western culture was better, and so were not ‘good’ like Stacey. The Stacey’s do not know reality from fantasy like the rich liberals who protect themselves with armed guards and lawyers.
Many lefties would pretend the Islamists do not say these things, but she at least addressed them. If it was a Klan march or BNP there would be just as many whites out there protesting against them. Where are all the ‘moderate’ muslims do counter protest? Oh yeah they don’t exist. So it is strange to watch her reaction. She really did not believe muslims thought that way. To be told by a WOMAN that she was naked while wearing a moderate dress… that’s not possible, that’s not ‘good’.
I remember John Cleese had a whiney screed along the same lines, that he does not recognize the place he grow up in, and realizes he no longer lives in Britian. For centuries, while countries would change it would still be that country. Britain would still have British people in it. Now it has alot of muslims, and even if they’re born in the UK they are not British, they are muslim. The muslims will always be muslim first in any country they move to. They will not adjust to the country, they will force their world view on that country, like the rape gangs in the UK.

I think the criticisms of John Cleese are unfair. Sure, Monty Python made fun of traditional British values and mores. But such humor has a long tradition in Britain. Part of their greatness is that they can laugh at themselves.

The most likely scenario: Europe is on the verge of rolling national bankruptcies, with Germany and Britain probably the last to fall. After Berlin ceases to be the continent’s social welfare office, there will be a viscious battle for whatever pension and benefits resources remain, which the aboriginal Europeans will win. With no state support, Muslims and non-Euros will stream back to their 3rd world hellholes, where their family connections will ensure some level of subsistence. Messy but inevitable.

I think what she did was a very brave thing, especially since she clearly didn’t expect to find what she did. I certainly do NOT think it was PC, morally relativistic or weak that she didn’t launch into a spirited defense of the superiority of Western culture while marching in a parade of Islamists. Tolerance is often touted as the highest virtue by progressive types- and there is no shame in fighting these people with the PC language that they’ve come to know and love, and that I’m quite sure they themselves have used in other situations. That doesn’t mean she believes it, but rather that it’s smart to throw the words they use so often right back in their faces.
On the other hand, I am also quite sure they would feel perfectly justified in getting physical had she put their religion down, given the lopsided application of British hate crime law. She is just one (young) woman with a cameraman. Haven’t we seen THAT go wrong before?
I currently live and work in a Muslim country and showed this clip to our work colleagues (Muslims). They could not believe this was allowed to happen, nor did they agree with the Muslim extremists on the clip.
