Coming in August: The Godfather, Part II of Obama Investigations

Published in October of 2010, Stanley Kurtz’s Radical-in-Chief: Barack Obama and the Untold Story of American Socialism shaped my understanding of the president more than any other. Time and again the Kurtz analysis of Obama the Alinskyite — still employing community organizing tactics in pursuit of socialist goals — rang true in understanding the administration’s strikes and parries in today’s political war. Kurtz discovered original documents and built a mountain of argument and evidence so tall that no defender of the president has dared attempt a rebuttal.

Now Kurtz returns with a sequel, continuing what he began in the second half of his first Obama expose: connecting the dots between the president’s lifelong immersion in variations of the Marxist political faith and the destructive, unjust public policies his administration implements.

Kurtz wrote this week at The Corner:

Many aspects of Obama’s present–to say nothing of his plans for the future–are as guarded and mysterious as his radical past. In fact, the poorly-known side of Obama’s world makes the clearest sense only when you combine research into his past and present alike.

This is what I’ve been up to these past months, as I’ve been working on a book about Obama that will appear in early August.

Read the whole thing, as Kurtz weighs in on recent debates and has plenty of other thoughts.

I never wondered whether Godfather, Part II is actually a better film than The Godfather. I’ve meant to rewatch the whole trilogy for a few years but never managed it — April never wanted to watch it with me. Perhaps now that we’ve gotten hooked on The Sopranos she’ll understand my request that we rewatch The Godfather as an offer she can’t refuse.

That reminds me: put David Freddoso‘s Gangster Government: Barack Obama and the New Washington Thugocracy on reading list.

Also related this morning at PJM, the heroic Ion Mihai Pacepa reveals how he oversaw this Gangster-Marxist tactic of infiltration and sabotage by the Soviet Union at the United Nations:

I also have good reason to believe that the UN is not interested in defending the United States. In my other life, when I was one of the top members of the Soviet bloc espionage community, one of our main assignments was to turn the UN against the United States. We in the Soviet bloc poured millions of dollars and thousands of people into that gigantic project. Virtually all UN employees and representatives from the communist countries — comprising a third of the world’s population — and from our Arab allies were secretly working for our espionage services. Our strategy was to convert the centuries-old European and Islamic animosity toward the Jews into a rabid and violent hatred for the United States by portraying it as a country run by a rapacious “Council of the Elders of Zion” (the Kremlin’s epithet for the U.S. Congress), which allegedly wanted to transform the rest of the world into a Jewish fiefdom.

Unfortunately, we succeeded. In 2003, the UN expelled the U.S. from the Commission on Human Rights by the overwhelming vote of 33 to 3, and it appointed the tyrannical government of Libya to chair that body. A year later, UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan decided to secretly make the UN even more anti-American.
