President Obama and Benjamin Netanyahu began their meeting today with Obama reminding the Israeli prime minister about his speech to AIPAC and Netanyahu reminding Obama that Israel will still take whatever course of action it deems best.
The two delivered remarks before ducking into private consultations that Obama said would focus on “regional issues” including the Mideast peace process.
“And obviously a large topic of conversation will be Iran, which I devoted a lot of time to in my speech to AIPAC yesterday, and I know that the Prime Minister has been focused on for a long period of time,” Obama said.
“And as I indicated yesterday in my speech, when I say all options are at the table, I mean it,” he added.
Netanyahu thanked Obama for his “kind words,” “strong speech yesterday” and “warm hospitality.”
“I think that above and beyond [the U.S.-Israel relationship] are two principles, longstanding principles of American policy that you reiterated yesterday in your speech — that Israel must have the ability always to defend itself by itself against any threat; and that when it comes to Israel’s security, Israel has the right, the sovereign right to make its own decisions,” the prime minister said. “I believe that’s why you appreciate, Mr. President, that Israel must reserve the right to defend itself.”
“And after all, that’s the very purpose of the Jewish state — to restore to the Jewish people control over our destiny,” Netanyahu continued. “And that’s why my supreme responsibility as Prime Minister of Israel is to ensure that Israel remains the master of its fate.”

I watched this on Fox: Bibi looked courteous but firm. Very firm. Solid rock firm.
You could feel how much Obama did not expect such a clear cut declaration…of independence.
Very polite form, but the message was very clear to anyone who wants to see what’s really going on (i.e., Bibi saying that he couldn’t care less about Obama reelection strategies.)
Netanyahu cannot be fooled by Obama’s lies. Netanyahu tried to extend friendship/relationship when BHO first took office, Obama treated him like trash, and humiliated Netanyahu. Netanyahu is certainly not a fool..once burned, twice shy.

Your description of Netanyahu’s firm resolve gives me hope that Israel will take out Iran’s nuclear sites. Netanyahu is an actual leader, whereas Obama is a poser, a leftist community organizer, a thug from the Chicago machine. Obama is a lot of things, but a leader isn’t one of them, especially a leader of people who intend to remain free and self-governing. Thank you Mr. Netanyahu for reminding us what a leader looks like.
Of course Israel has the right to defend itself. I was hoping they would defend me also although I’m not Jewish. Bibi is many times the man Obama is. Obama could not be depended on to watch anyone’s back. Perhaps the Obami should vacation on a kibbutz in Israel this summer to show their dedication ro America’s allies.

These frauds love to use absolutist statements, because it makes them sound convicted, but it is all just another lie. The more vehement their affirmation, the greater the lie.
If you really want to see this in action, review the VP debate of ’08. See how often Biden repeats himself absolutely affirming things that just are not so. The fact-checkers had a field day the next couple of days. Nothing he said was true, especially the Paki nukes being able to hit Israel. Risible. Watch the technique with this in mind to really understand it.

I am not an apologist for everything that Israel does. But it would be the best thing in the world for Israel to cut off the head of the Iranian leadership. Obama is incapable of doing this because he sees no moral distinction between the nation of Israel and that of Iran.
The Iranian regime is immoral, and if they were to be destroyed, I think Iran could become a prosperous and decent nation. And, I might add, a good friend and ally to Israel.
And the Iranian people would thank the Jewish people for liberating them from their tyranny.

Failure on the part of Congress to begin investigation and arrest of a Usurper who has committed unknown thousands of felonies is in itself a felony – Misprision of Felony by our elected officials.
