There is strong evidence brewing that Sheldon Adelson is going to give Newt’s Pacmen another $10 million.
It’s not evident how he intends to use it, however.
Promoting moon colonies and hurling insults at Romney were clearly not doing the trick.
He is going to have to capture the deep South to be relevant again and crawl back up from the Ron Paul mid-teen terrain.
Santorum is a target on several fronts (big labor, earmarks, hard core social issues) but Gingrich has shot his wad on negativity on Romney.
The big labor/earmarks issues are absolutely viable, but they aren’t the type of issues that get blood boiling. Without a hot button to press, Gingrich needs a different approach.
He needs to bait Santorum and get Santorum to bite. But will he?
Not likely. Gingrich has money to get all dressed up, with likely no place to go. It does do enough to get him through SuperTuesday.
If he can win a couple of southern states, he can get us to a convention in a three legged sad sack race.

I’ve lost track did California stay with winner takes all delegates or go with proportional to popular vote? If Newt takes a big chunk of delegates from California and some Southern states he could get past the others.
What is going on with Newt’s dream team. It has been in the news that Rick Perry has filed for permission to form a Super PAC. Perry is known to be good at raising money for candidates. Is he going to really throw money and people into the fray for Newt?
If Newt keeps harping on the energy independence theme will he get more “praise” from Palin?
I’ve noticed that while it has been said that Newt’s war against the media has fizzled, other candidates have started dodging them. It is interesting who has opted out of the next CNN debate in Georgia. CNN had to cancel.
Maybe you ought to take a look at Newt’s speeches and talking points. The real ones, not the ones spewed by the Romney campaign and the Democrats.
You might be surprised.
Newt Gingrich actually has the demonstrated ability and experience to promote a balanced budget. He has demonstrated the ability to reach across the aisle to people with whom he disagrees, when there can be common ground. He’s deeply interested in practical means for achieving the American dream, for all Americans. He is aware of the problem of perverse results, and will take a idea from any source, search it for the good parts, work it over, and try to formulate a policy that is both workable and benign.
Newt Gingrich is what this nation tried to elect, when it elected the current President.
if cfbleachers couldn’t hate Gingrich, how would he fill his days?
