An Arabic op-ed, written by an Egyptian Muslim, recently appeared arguing that, it is not cartoons that defame Islam and its prophet, but rather ”we Muslims, for imposing a terroristic, hypocritical, and life-hating model of Islam that feeds on killing others in the name of jihad and fighting freedom of expression.”
Very hard-hitting and honest, I translated the op-ed here.
As the author argues, which is more damaging to the reputation of Islam: the above illustration -- or terrorism, murder, hate, misogyny, and intolerance in its name?
They’ll be a fatwas condemning this guy to death soon. Sadly his pointing out the problem with islam will get him killed and islam will continue down it’s path of destruction.
I would never defame the religion of peace that follows a 7th century warlord, which get their collective arse in the air for one of the 360 gods at the Kaaba called Sin, which comes to the United States and Honor murders it’s daughters, demands foot baths for taxi drivers who will not give the blind a lift if they have a seeing eye dog, and calls for murder all those who oppose Islam.
No Sir, I will not defame the pagans.
