So what? The media told us all—over and over and over again, only last week—that nobody since 1980 had ever won the Republican nomination unless they won South Carolina. In fact, it was such a foregone conclusion that after SC there was practically no point in even holding the other primaries, democratic process be damned.
Then, of course, Newt won.
And now? Why, gosharootie! We have to figure out the Great Portent of what outspending your opponent by a factor of ten might mean.
I was SURE Jon Huntsman was going to pull an upset.
