Occupy Pledge of Allegiance: “…and to the plutocracy for which it stands, the privately owned central bank, under the Jews…”
During yesterday’s hours-long rioting at the Occupy Oakland protest, the Occupiers burned a United States flag in front of Oakland City Hall (before later breaking in and smashing up irreplaceable antique museum exhibits in the foyer). Someone posted a video of the flag-burning to YouTube, and then added narration on top of it — his own rendition of the Pledge of Allegiance in an Occupy theme:

Here’s exactly what he says as the Oakland Occupiers burn the flag:
“I pledge allegiance to the flag of the imperialistic capitalistic dictatorship, and to the plutocracy for which it stands, the privately owned central bank, under the Jews, with inequality and injustice for the 99.“
It’s not clear who made the narration and the video — it could be one of the Occupiers themselves, or a local Occupy sympathizer, or perhaps just some random guy on the Internet getting all excited seeing the Occupiers in action.
(The YouTube channel for the narrator has this self-description: “Combination of Technical analysis, marxism, monetary history, and mainstream economic analysis,” alongside a litany of Bay Area Occupy and “evil Federal Reserve” videos.)
But even if it was just some random guy, you’ve got to ask yourself:
When rank anti-Semites are inspired by your actions to rant about evil Jews controlling the banks, isn’t it time to re-think your message?

Would that be the Spanish American war, where we freed a portion of this country and it’s citizens from the yoke of an oppressive, corrupt, inherently incompetent government (let’s us look at the history and present day of that country to see how that might have turned out differently).
Or may haps you are referring to the 1st and 2nd World War in which fascism reared it’s ugly head. If Europe had been defeated how long do you think either the Kaiser or Hitler would have waited to launch attacks against America. What brought the US into the first world war as a fighting force was the targeting of our ships in International waters. We as free men and women have a God given right to sell supplies to whom ever we choose,. Another country does not have a right to destroy those supplies and the lives of others in order to stop those supplies from arriving at their destination. The aggressor wasn’t protecting itself. It was trying to stop victims from protecting themselves.
We didn’t come into the 2nd World War until Dec. 11,1941, four days after the attack on Pearl Harbor Hawaii, which almost decimated the US Navy. Until the Japanese attack, while the US had supported the Allies it had yet to join forces on the ground. The attack on Dec.7 changed all that.
While the later wars (Korea, Vietman……..) have had different causes and effects the US did not “start” them. They were all in answer to the willingness of other governments/systems to try to impact on the American way of life. They were willing to destroy their own people for the chance to give the US a black eye. Doesn’t sound much like extending government control over anyone or thing.

Well, you’re a little of the rails regarding WW1 at least. Germany was no more “fascist” than any other European monarchy, and the thought that the Kaiser would have launched some sort of invasion of the US is ludicrous.

Finally, it’s always easy playing armchair general, but it’s hard to imagine a viable invasion of the US by the Axis. Hitler couldn’t even get an invasion fleet across the English Channel, and the RAF was all but dead on the ground. (I’ve seen some evaluations that Fighter Command was no more than 2-3 weeks away from total collapse when the Blitz ended.)
It’s almost as difficult to imagine Japan mounting an invasion of the US mainland. It took us 4 years and virtually all our resources to get within reliable striking distance of Japan, island-hopping; it beggars belief to think Japan would have been able to maintain an equivalent effort moving the other way, just on lack of resources and industrial capability. (Let alone economic and political considerations at home.)
Basically, it would have taken years for either Germany or Japan to even get into a position where a full-scale invasion would have been even plausible – and the run-up would be so obvious it would have given us ample time to prepare defenses.
Sorry, “Invasion USA” was just not an option then.

Just to show how twisted this can all get.
OWS could have taken a lot of cues from the protest movement in Israel this past summer. They actually accomplished a lot of what they wanted and at least got the government to set up a commission. By realtive numbers it would have been millions showing up in the streets of US cities. Not only that but there was little or no problem with police, no arrests. Just about everyone went home and back to work with no fuss. It actually showcased what a vibrant working democracy with freedom of expression Israel is.
OWS refused to take advice from Israeli protest leaders and now exist only as a media phenomenon and liability to everyone else.
In the bizarre thinking of the Progressive Left, as I noted in reactions on HufPo, the reason that the Israeli protests did not get much coverage was – ‘zionist’ media control which is bizarre because it was all over the actual zionist press the entire time. Why would they cover it up? The assuption was this was an attempt to overthrow the government or something which it was not at all. They wanted policy changes such as housing etc.

You cannot argue with these kind of people. OWS is a total failure as a protest movement. They have attracted no significant popular support and never really tried to get any. This was about themselves and their own egos.

You realize you could have been describing the TEA Party movement protest rallies? OWS exists for an entirely different purpose and attracts an entirely different crowd.
Even now, people still don’t get it. I hear smug comments about “where is the TEA Party now?” and just smile to myself; they are mobilized in large numbers but are doing productive work inside thousands of political campaigns from the Presidential race down to the local alderman.
The organization of the downline elections is the really revolutionary aspect of the TEA Party movement. There will be literally thousands of TEA Party adherents in office at all levels of government next election, changing political culture for a generation. There will be a huge talent pool of TEA Party adherents gaining experience in government and ready to move up the ladder in subsequent elections. This pool elected in 2012 will be movers and shakers into the 2030′s at least, and inspiring a generation to follow.
So we don’t need protests in the streets to change things, just the will to start working for change.
As for OWS, they need to be exposed for what they are, and better yet their backers need to be exposed as well to marginalize them and eliminate the threat they pose to civilized discourse and public speech. They are the Brownshirts of the Progressive movement, and everything you do to expose and marginalize them is good.
These people are providing us with the best campaign material for this fall imaginable. I couldn’t make up of a better piece of footage to put over The Democrats statements of support for the OWS movement than this.

is part of the communist playbook, they hope to stir unrest, in the discontented, undereducated, or overeducated masses, and stir the pot, They begin with rocks and bottles, then bottles of gasoline, and the government forces will be there to “protect us” then from some unknown source a shot rings out, followed by some folks getting killed, the government response will be to ban firearms ” to protect us” The next step will be to declare martial law, confiscate all privately owned guns, ” to protect us”, and you have the beginning of a civil war. I see it coming, do you?
Who is going to do all this disarming and enforcement of martial law?

The “oath” does NOT say “Jews” – at that point in the ‘oath’ the words are “the one percent”. This is followed with the assertion that there are “99 %” who are, by implication, the oppressed.
The Occupy Wall Street cadre is worrisome… and there might be anti-Semites amongst them… but the oath did not say “Jews” per se.

The narrator clearly and unequivocally said “under the Jews.” Everyone who listened to the video heard it without any doubt — except you.
Unfortunately, the video has now been taken down off YouTube, and we no longer have the evidence. Taken down undoubtedly because all the attention drawn to it.

He substitutes “The 1%” for “The Jews”, but the rest of his chant is the same. I guess he gave a bit too much away.
Turning a blind eye to the “Nazi” aspect are we? Didnt the same thing occur back in the 1930′s in Germany?
Must remember to copy these types of things, even if that means making a video of the YouTube post as it plays my computer monitor.
bet those OWS type would love to be a part of the face book crowd this week. But then while those at facebook were working their butts off to succeed, those in the OWS weren’t.
Maybe OWS should go to facebook headquarters and protest there as capitalism is about to make thousands of people filthy rich, and more power to them and to our system that lets them succeed beyond their wildest dreams.
