Although I wasn’t able to watch it, I have read many commentaries on President Obama’s marvelous State of the Union Address. Based on that, it was truly an excitingly dull non-political campaign speech passionately proclaiming with little vigor the urgency of rebuilding the consensus American Dream — fair poverty redistribution by taxing rich capitalist leeches and a robust, growing economy without further obstruction by the Republicans who infest the Congress.
Four More Years!

As usual with this sort of speech, and as we all have had to learn through bitter experience, the issue is not what Obama declaimed in English to the American public, but what he said to his own people in Arabic.
the picture says it all
well stated Dan
Thanks, General. “We report, you decide” or something like that.
I think that was supposed to be “Republican saboteurs who infest the Congress.”
“Republican saboteurs?” That would obviously be a redundancy, not in keeping with the pristine purity of the SOTU.
One writer said Obama’s “muscular language was well-received.” Does that mean he’s been lifting weights with his tongue? Never mind, it’s time for my intelligent toenails to raise expectations.
what he said to his own people in Arabic…
Well played, sir.
Now I am confused…
Do I laugh?
or
Do I vomit?
I did not watch the sotu, which is not unusual for me, I cannot bear the thought of millions lapping up his amazing collection of deceptions, while ignoring the damage being done to the Nation I love.
Happy to say I remain ignorant of the contents. Otherwise, I couldn’t sleep nights thinking there was _one_ American out there who still believe this ________. And I can’t sleep. Thanks, Dims.
