Newt Gingrich has been very vocal in recent days, criticizing Ron Paul’s “dangerous” foreign policy.
Ron Paul has responded, calling Newt a “chicken hawk”, and also saying:
“You know when Newt Gingrich was called to service in the 1960s during the Vietnam era, guess what he thought about danger? he chickened out on that.”
When presented with this quote, Newt responded:
“What he said has about the same amount of accuracy as the newsletters he says he never wrote.”

We should have a draft for all our wars…And Harvard grads, and the like, should be the first ones to go. No waivers.
Egad, Sir!
Do you want the USA to loose the next Big One?
How can you reconcile compulsary military service with the Constitution’s prohibition on involuntary servitude?
Besides, every single draft in American history has allowed exemptions so that the connected and wealthy can avoid service if they choose.
But but but but the draft is all unconstitutional and anti-freedom! And stuff!
If the goal in the war is victory, nothing is better than highly train army of volunteers. if the goal is to kill as many US citizens as possible, but “uniformly”, then, of course, the draft is the answer.
