South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley Endorses Romney
Nikki Haley became South Carolina’s first woman governor partially due to “the strong backing of Tea Party champion Sarah Palin.”
But she was also backed by Mitt Romney. Despite the fact that Tea Party activists “remain wary” of Romney’s conservative credentials, Haley continued the time-honored political tradition of “you scratch my back, I’ll scratch yours” quid pro quo.
Haley believes Romney “is the right person to take [Obama] on and get America back on track.
I’ve already written that Romney is the right person to take Obama on and give America four more years of Obama.
What say you about all this?

The chicks are always endorsing the handsome Romney. Don’t read too much into it.
And yes, there is often some repaying of the support. Sometimes, it falls into the category of gratitude or friendship, rather than quid pro quo. It would be considered ingratitude, if Haley did not do this for Romney. Of course, there is the ingratitude to the Tea Party to consider. So how does she decide between the two conflicting debts of gratitude?
Easy. She is a chick, and the chicks go with hunky. Voting with their little heads.
I will not vote for Romney if he wins the Primary, but will vote for Ted Cruz to replace KBH as a Texas Senator as well as other down ticket conservatives. Hopefully we will have 40+ Senators conservative enough to shut down the Progressives and keep the Senate in session so that either Obama or Romney will be unable to advance Progressive people or programs.
It’s called loyalty. It’s the same reason that Palin campaigned here in Arizona for McCain in his last senate race. You might want to take a look at the list of people Romney endorsed in 2010 and the off year elections and compare it to Newt’s list. At the top of Newts list you will find his endorsement of Scozzafava in NY23. Romney endorsed Hoffman.
Your title says it all.
“Tea Party favorite, once elected, returns to business as usual.”
Meanwhile, 78% of Tea Party members support somebody other than Mitt.
I wonder how much money Romney pledged to Ms Haley’s next campaign?
But hey, if Mitt is nominated or Gingrich commits political suicide, I’ll support Romney as well. He’s a pretty good second choice, and if the general campaign is an adult-oriented low key discussion of the issues of the day and no “unexpected crises” happen, then Mitt will have a good chance to plod to victory.
I would say you are correct that Romney could give American 4 more years of Obama if he replaced him in office.
I’m of the opinion that Romney will be the nominee and he will lose, mostly because he is not a conservative. This happens every time the Republicans let the media choose which candidate they will run. 2008, here we come. Minus the strong draw of Sarah Palin.
Mitt will lose next year and then she won’t have to run against him in 2016.
Romney taking on Obama? Are you kidding? The establishment candidate of choice, Romney, will never seriously go after Obama. His handlers would never permit him to do so. The polls show that Obama is too likeable.
What one addage is the most foreign to RINOs?
What one addage will describe what happened to Republicans in 2006 and 2008?
.
You Dance with Who Brung Ya!
.
Dear newly elected Republicans from 2010, You would do Well to learn what that Adage Means!
And so, like Christie before her, Haley destroys every last shred of her credibility. Christie, in the long run, probably won’t be hurt by endorsing Romney because, let’s face it, only a RINO can get elected in NJ, and he’s still better than Corazine, but Haley, whose aproval ratings are already in the toilet in South Carolina, deep in the heart of Dixie, where the good folks don’t suffer RINOs, is toast! Now, would someone remind me why we ever took a 1/2 term governor and failed vp candidate seriously?!?
This matters only to Nikki Haley’s future campaigns, because our next President, Governor Rick Perry, does not rely on other politicians’ endorsements for votes. Instead, he does his job, and voters notice what a good job he does, and vote for him.
Jeez, from the invective Hailey is getting you’d think she endorsed Romney at the expense of a credible Tea Party alternative. So who was it? Newt? Actually more pro-establishment than Romney, if it was even possible. Huntsman? Farther to the left and far more insufferable. Perry? I had high hopes for him but, unfortunately, I have no heart, so no. Bachman? I understand why some primary voters cling to her given the weakness of the field, but a crying women came up to me and told me that someone slipped Bachman Guardisal when she was younger. Santorum also has his admirers, and I could certainly understand throwing a lifeline to him but with just two weeks till Iowa he still hasn’t gained any traction. And a big HELL NO to Ron Paul.
So really, whose left? I mean, I understand why some people consider Romney’s flaws too great to vote for in the Primary despite the faults of the alternatives, and I feel the same way myself (I’m supporting Johnson even though he has even less of a chance than Santorum). But what I don’t get is why people would consider anyone looking at this lackluster field and picking a different turd sandwich than they are as somehow betraying their principles. They’re ALL turd sandwiches folks, Hailey just picked one with different trimmings than you.
Such a stupid twit she is..a vote for Romney,is a vote for Obama.
enough of the Marxism/Engels already.(know your enemy)
