To paraphrase Steven Den Beste on an earlier mid-century warning on the dangers of statism run amok, Atlas Shrugged: A warning for the rest of us, a user manual for the Obama Administration:
Given the mid-budget production values of the film, I suspect it will play better on the small screen than it did in theaters, but as a both timely and eternal message, it’s well worth checking out on DVD.

…..planning the release of part two, to coincide with the Presidential election schedule. Nice!
Although one knows that the left blends cinema and politics to steer politics and enhance cinema profits, it’s also obvious that they will be apoplectic that the Atlas Shrugged team is doing the same.

And even more disconcerting, if you know of any eastern block friends, is the correlation THEY draw from the events happening here to those where civilization broke down in their old country, and is continuing to fail.
If you want to know what play book Obama and his handlers are using, you would not go wrong in reading “And Not A Shot Is Fired,” by Jan Kozak. It is the socialist playbook used in Czechoslovakia to turn a constitutional republic into a police state. Short, sweet and to the point, the book is well worth checking out. You will certainly recognize many of the tactics of the current administration in it.
