Bloomberg Doesn’t Understand Cops or Second Amendment

As leader of Mayors Against Illegal Guns (MAIG), New York Mayor Bloomberg believes all civilian firearms are illegal, and that only police should have guns, which is why he must deny the following scandal impacts NYPD.
The New York Post reported:
Eight current and former [New York] city cops were part of a $1 million ring that smuggled guns, cigarettes and slot machines into New York from out of state, the feds charged today.
The complaint contained three federal gun law violations, plus illegal transportation of firearms and “purportedly stolen cigarettes.”
Mayor Bloomberg claimed:
“The NYPD is the finest police department in the world, and these arrests do nothing to diminish the selfless commitment of the 35,000 men and women who put on a uniform every day, and who put their lives on the line to keep us safe.” [emphasis added]
Wrong, Bloomie.
In fairness, he’s disconnected from patrol officers and civilian self-defense because he enjoys 24/7 police protection, including guards at his $30 million townhouse.
Law enforcement professionals understand their diminishment by these rogues.
The FBI’s New York Assistant Director Janice Fedarcyk said: “These crimes, as alleged in the complaint, do nothing but undermine public trust and confidence in law enforcement.”
One veteran big-city officer said:
“This is a betrayal of the highest order of an Officer’s oath. It is a difficult enough task to keep the public’s trust and confidence in today’s society. I cannot even imagine what pain this must cause the families of those who lost their loved ones in the line of duty at the hands of illegal weapons. Every time we take a step forward, a select few help us to take two steps back.”
Second Amendment author and law enforcement trainer Massad Ayoob, while taking issue with Bloomberg’s anti-rights attitude, agrees in part:
“The fact that some bad people do bad things with guns, it’s no reason to penalize the vast majority of good, responsible gun owners, nor demonize them.
Because some bad cops do bad things which may or may not involve guns, is no reason to penalize the vast majority of the estimated 35,000 good, responsible cops in New York City, nor demonize them.”
However, Ayoob also agrees that the good guys feel ashamed when rogues on their force do stuff like this, and feel like they have to put out extra effort to win back the trust lost when the public reads stories of officer malfeasance.
One might conclude that anti-gun politicians are no friends to cops, either.
Surprise, surprise! Bloomy is a criminal and those same cops that he threw under the bus should arrest him.
The distinction between our governments and criminals diminishes by the day. The scope of this lawless disregard by our elected officials expands by the day
What about project fast and furious?
What happened in New York is akin to a fart in a hurricane to Project Gunwalker.
The “president” of the United States, and its highest law enforcement official eric holder get a free pass when they sell thousands of guns to American and Mexican criminal gangs for the purpose of padding a huge lie. A lie designed to frame an entire nation of law abiding American’s and create the narrative where the 2nd Amendment is responsible for the violence and crime due to said weapons that our own government purposefully and directly placed in the hands of such evil.
Arizona should send police to NY to investigate illegal gun running.
As long as it’s not members of the egregiously corrupt Phoenix PD. (Though it is improving now that Jack “The Hack” Harris is no longer Chief Thug…I mean Chief of Police).

What is it with NYC?! This guy’s not only been elected, but re-elected! Reminds me of that movie with Goldie’s hubby, ESCAPE FROM NEW YORK.

There is nothing cryptic or vague about that. It does not require legal experts for interpretation. It is crystal f****** clear.
The people of New York have allowed themselves to be stripped of that right. Shame on them.
