Mad Mahmoud at the UN, Obama in 2009 Agree: America is Arrogant

Iranian tyrant Mahmoud Ahmadinejad blasted the United States and our allies at the United Nations today:

Delegations from a number of UN member states, including the U.S., U.K, France, Germany and Israel either left the hall during Ahmadinejad’s appearance or were not present at its onset.

Ahmadinejad said the September 11, 2001 attacks were “mysterious” and that they had been used as a pretext for U.S.-led wars against Afghanistan and Iraq.

He also said “arrogant powers” forbid any questioning of either the 9/11 attacks or the Holocaust.

Good for the US delegation for being among those that walked out. But not so good, for President Obama’s own rhetoric matching Mahmoud’s. Flash back to April 2009.

Addressing a crowd of some 2,000 mainly students from France and Germany, Mr Obama said: “In America, there is a failure to appreciate Europe’s leading role in the world.

“Instead of celebrating your dynamic union and seeking to partner with you to meet common challenges, there have been times where America has shown arrogance and been dismissive, even derisive.”

Rick Perry also used the a-word this week. But he was talking specifically about Obama’s foreign policy, not American foreign policy itself.
