Solyndra is Now a Full-Blown Obama Scandal

The Obama White House tried to rush federal reviewers for a decision on a nearly half-billion-dollar loan to the solar panel manufacturer Solyndra so Vice President Biden could announce the approval at a September 2009 groundbreaking for the company’s new factory, newly obtained e-mails show…
The August 2009 e-mails, released toThe Washington Post, show White House officials repeatedly asking OMB reviewers when they would be able to decide on the federal loan and noting a looming press event at which they planned to announce the deal. In response, OMB officials expressed concern that they were being rushed to approve the company’s project without adequate time to assess the risk to taxpayers, according to the e-mails, which were provided by Republican congressional investigators…
The Obama White House was so concerned about a press event that it pushed OMB to approve the money for Solyndra. As Stiles says, that just epitomizes this administration — appearance ahead of sound policy by a mile. Is TOTUS setting the president’s schedule now?
The US taxpayers lost half a billion on this deal, which will be the subject of House hearings tomorrow. But don’t worry — the Obama White House is pushing yet another pile of your cash toward yet another “green” company.

What commentators keep missing is that
1) an Obama Regime official sat on Solyndra’s Board of Directors the entire time, and yet the Regime is ‘surprised’ at the bankruptcy… and
2) Solyndra management is claiming exemption from the 60 day plant-closing notice requirement, citing that up til the very very last day, they “had a chance of getting fresh financing”… when it’s crystal clear from the record that they were doomed to close. Both the Regime and the Solyndra management thus selfishly and connivingly stiffed 1100 workers out of 60 days’ pay.
And this is the very regime lecturing us about evil rich people.

LA Times reports today the Solyndra involvement of yet another Regime billionaire crony named SPINNER. This SPINNER may well help us rubes become properly educated during this Solyndra Learning Moment.
I would like SPINNER to explain to the masses how it is that both he and the Dept of Energy manager sitting on Solyndra’s Board came to condone 100% secrecy about Solyndra’s impending late August meltdown in such a way as to exempt the firm from giving its workers the required 60 day plant-closing notice, thus cheating 1100 workers out of 2 months’ pay in the worst economic times since 1936, with the sole effect being to further pad the pockets of Obama Billionaire Cronies.
