Just the other day, a Republican financier actually quoted Saddam Hussein in telling a group of millionaire donors that defeating President Obama will be “the mother of all wars.”

Seems like we can run just about anything up this flag pole to see what the WH response is going to be. That way we’ll be able to tighten the noose on their “counterattack” before they can even make it. (Disclaimer: the use of the word noose is in no way intended, nor should it be construed to be racist. Furthermore, the word “counterattack” is just my definition of what a response would be called if the cause of that reponse is labeled an “attack” and is not intended to incite violence nor to be uncivil in any way.)

Sign up, tell your friends to do same, then report each other. Flood them with craps, crash their site. Should be fun. Or may be better to ask them to pay you a dollar for each snitch. That is the only way to make a buck in Obaconomy.
It’s pathetic, ludicrous, highly mockable, and the twitter feed is hilarious. After all the things I’ve this administration has pulled in the past 3 years, I’ve become desensitized– so I see it as a joke.
But I showed this to my father, who’s a Reagan Democrat, moderate fiscal conservative/ social liberal, gets all his news from MSM (likes Joe Scarborough), doesn’t read blogs, voted for Obama, not rabid about anything (and I think has long been somewhat taken aback by my contempt for & anger toward Obama). And his reaction– incredulous, sputtering outrage– has restored to me an un-jaded perspective on this. I remember the “Twilight Zone” feeling I often got, in the early days of the O administration, which has worn off by now, from shock after shock, outrage after outrage. I see this dazedness now in my father. The MSM-spell, Obama cocoon is forever shattered. The most politically moderate of men, was sputtering like Glenn Beck.
He literally could not believe this was real. Would not. I had to prove to him that “barackobama.com” was the offical website, and that indeed there it was, the announcement launching “attackwatch.com”. He finds it inconceivable, unbelievable, impossible, shocking– seriously, an impeachable offense– that the POTUS could do something like this: an assault, from the most powerful office in the world, on American citizens’ first amendment rights.
And he’s right. How is this not a case of the POTUS directly violating the First Amendment?

From the attackwatch.com website” we are to “REPORT”– to REPORT on fellow citizens, REPORT to the White House!– REPORT, among other info, the “attack type,” with a menu of choices: “TV interview, public statement, forwarded email, rumor, TV ad, video ad, radio ad, robocall, website/blog.”
This is beyond sinister, it’s absolutely un-American. And I, we, find it silly, because O has become such a weak, pathetic figure.
But he is the POTUS. This should be a big deal. My father’s reaction helped me see that. He thinks this is the end of Obama– that it’s so beyond the pale, we’ll see it criticized throughout the MSM, or it’ll be taken down immediately and “disappeared.” I’m not so sure about that. In that respect, I’m afraid, my father may still be too naive. And with Solyndra etc. in the news, this ridiculousness will be (perhaps rightly) overshadowed.
But it shouldn’t be just passed over, laughed at (though I agree, there should be MUCH laughter & mockery, thank you twitter), ignored with a shrug & roll of the eyes.
When the POTUS does something like this, it has to mean something. At the end of the day, despite everything O has done, this is still the USA, not a Twilight Zone/ Orwellian Dystopia… right?

The complaints I see in here are asserting our right to free speech. We don’t want our free speech stifled regardless of who is in office. I doubt that you feel the same way.
Our current President has received exactly the same level of courtesy and respect the last one got.

Chomp/chomping is an accepted variation of champ/champing – first used in 1581.
Not that I disagree with you about the liberal teacher’s unions, but “chomping at the bit” is a completely legitimate statement and a valid idiom. Now, if they had said “could care less” rather than “couldn’t care less” somewhere, loose the hounds!

As I recall, those all turned out to be true, when the bill was finally read. Illegal aliens still get free care, gov’t panels will decide who is allowed to get what treatments, and millions have already lost the health insurance they had previously…

The person most responsible for smearing the President’s name and reputation through the mud is actually quite well-known and is doing this despicable stuff right under the noses of people who should be in a position to put a stop to it. The fact that they do NOTHING to save this presidency is irresponsible and shocking and all I can say in reaction to this is, WHY? A nefarious plot that is so easy to stop absolutely should be.
