Assessing the Palin Nation
When former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin took the stage at the Restoring America Tea Party Rally in Indianola, IA, the crowd that had sat through two and half hours of rain and humidity jumped to their feet and cheered. The view from your TV could lead you to believe it was just another rally. Being there, however, gives a whole new look into what Palin means to those who love her, and what Palin Nation will do to get her to run, and elected.
Palin’s speech, at least the bullet points, was somewhat leaked in the days prior to the event. She was going to bring a full on assault against crony capitalism, and the “good old boys” network. This has been a continual theme of Palin. She broke through that network to get elected in Alaska, and utilized this outsider approach in her introduction to the world stage as the Vice-Presidential nominee of Sen. John McCain in 2008.
She delivered. On crony capitalism, she explained clearly the perils associated with the disassociation from free markets:
This is not the capitalism of free men and free markets, of innovation and hard work and ethics, of sacrifice and of risk. No, this is the capitalism of connections and government bailouts and handouts, of waste and influence peddling and corporate welfare. This is the crony capitalism that destroyed Europe’s economies. It’s the collusion of big government and big business and big finance to the detriment of all the rest – to the little guys.
When Palin posited to the crowd, “…what or who we will replace him (Obama) with…,” the crowd erupted. The chants of “Run, Sarah, Run!” went throughout the grounds. They cheered in every corner, they cheered from the booths selling every imaginable Palin-esqe tchotchke. By this time, the crowd had grown. During the rain – big rains – some of the crowd stayed in their cars, or in the booths at the top of the venue. While we could see the constant stream of cars coming in from our view on stage, we could not see where they were parked. But as the moment approached of Palin’s speech, the crowd filled in nicely for a rain soaked day.
Many looked to Palin’s speech as proof that she is going to announce, or not announce, her run for President. Those people miss the point. To understand what is happening, one needs to be on the ground with the people. You need to look into their eyes, listen to them speak, watch them react.
In Iowa, Palin has more than just love and admiration on her side. She also has a constituency. While Rep. Michele Bachmann and Governor Rick Perry both occupy the same space – the fiscal agenda that the Tea Party approves of, along with strong leanings to the social conservative side – that space is not fully explained or understood without Palin. Never mind any polling that includes Palin now, that is polling of a “maybe” Palin. Those numbers will be far different when people choose on a “candidate” Palin. And, as Palin said to huge applause and laughs – “Polls are for strippers and cross-country skiers!”
If Palin gets into the race, Bachmann will face huge challenges in Iowa. If Palin gets into the race, Perry will face challenges nationwide. More than Iowa was represented in Indianola. People came from California, Nebraska, Illinois and Missouri to name a few states. They also came from Texas. While Perry is a three-term governor, his vetting has only come from the Texas press. People on the ground feel that Palin has already been vetted by America. For more than three years, she has suffered through the whimsical and the wicked attacks. She has been called every name, used in every uninspired analogy and, simply, they see her as the stronger candidate.
Peter Singleton, who runs the Iowa chapter of Organize4Palin.com, stated clearly that both Bachmann and Perry are good at delivering rhetoric. Singleton called Perry’s record in Texas, “…not that conservative.” On Bachmann, while praising her willingness to stand up to the Obama Administration, Singleton said, “…(Bachmann) has been big on inspiring rhetoric, but has not been as strong on specific substantive policy proposals..,” like Palin has.
In her speech, Palin backed up Singleton’s thesis, and came forth with ideas. She talked about what she – or perhaps someone she approves of? – should do if President. As Jedediah Bila commented on The Daily Caller:
Most importantly, she offered real solutions, including a plan that serves as a stark contrast to our president’s perpetual empty rhetoric: repeal Obamacare, uphold the Tenth Amendment, rein in overregulation, prioritize significant and legitimate spending cuts, cancel unused stimulus money, “own up to the debt challenge that is entitlement reform,” tap into our God-given energy resources and make America “the most attractive and competitive place to do business” by eliminating all federal corporate income tax, corporate welfare and loopholes.
After it was over, Palin left the stage to sign autographs. 20 minutes later, she was still signing autographs. When it looked like she was going to finish, she turned back to sign more books, more t-shirts, more bumper stickers She didn’t stop. She signed, she smiled, she talked, she listened. All the while, the crowd pushed towards her, beckoning her, begging her for a few seconds of her time. At one moment, a young man approached, looking for Palin to sign his t-shirt. After signing the shirt, Palin gave the man a hug. He then put his hand to his mouth, and began to cry.
It was like watching a Justin Beiber fan win front row seats. It’s a reaction that you do not see at Bachmann rallies, and you will never see at a Perry rally….nor a Romney rally.
Craig Robinson, editor and publisher of The Iowa Republican.com, former political director of the Iowa Republican Party and with whom PJTV worked with to cover the Iowa Straw Poll, wrote this about Palin before the day of the event:
It takes more than just a willing politician to pull off a presidential campaign. Palin has always had the star power and charisma to succeed on the national stage, but that will only take her so far. Palin may have an inner circle that advises her, but what she needs are loyal professionals who will look out for her best interests in everything she is involved with.
To run for president you need people who will put their lives on hold and who will put their candidate’s best interests above their own. Palin doesn’t have anyone in Iowa that fits that bill. That alone is the reason why I’ve never thought she is running for president in 2012.
Robinson also stated that her speech would have to be “perfect” to avoid her “negative stereotype;” a stereotype placed upon her by the mainstream press. From all accounts, it’s clear that Palin gave a speech that clearly articulates a vision for America, her disdain for the status quo and an open question regarding who in the GOP field is really qualified to take on President Obama and lead the nation. It was a “perfect” speech for the occasion. But what of Robinson’s view that Palin simply doesn’t have the Iowa ground game to make a presidential run possible?
The Palin Nation would argue that this isn’t a normal election, and this isn’t a normal candidate. That what Robinson argues might be true of traditional politics, but Palin is not traditional. What draws people, those on the ground, is her folksy appeal. The idea that Palin is just like them; just a mom, just a wife, just worried about her nation and her children’s future. But, in politics, and her personal life, Palin is in many ways nothing like them. And politics, for all that it has changed with the Tea Party, still has rules. Money and organization do matter. Even more than that is setting the expectation. In an email, Robinson elaborated on his point:
Her speech, especially the portion where she laid out her platform, makes it hard to believe that she not going to run for president in 2012. Her ability to connect, motivate, and inspire members of the Tea Party would make her formidable populist candidate. As we have seen time and time again, the rules of campaigns past don’t apply to Sarah Palin, but the calendar and the clock still do. If Palin jumped into the race rather soon she can probably make up for lost time.
However, with the caucuses just months five months away and the possibility that they make move up to January, every second that Palin waits to announce works against her. Palin doesn’t need to do well in Iowa, she needs to win the Iowa caucuses outright. If she can’t win it here, she’s probably not going to win anywhere else. For Palin, the road to the nomination has to include a victory in the Iowa caucuses. It’s that simple.
It is anyone’s guess as to whether or not Palin announces a run for the presidency. But it is clear that the decision is all hers. Yes, she needs to have the fundamentals in place in Iowa, and nationwide, to move forward with a Presidential run. But, as Robinson and Bila point out, she has made a case – and has politically differentiated herself from the field. If she should decide, Iowa, and Palin Nation, will follow. They will campaign relentlessly. They will fundraise constantly. They will stand in the rain, in the blazing sun, in the bitter cold. They will make Obama supporters of ’08 look like chumps compared to the work they are willing to do. Palin Nation, from every indication, will not rest until their Grizzly is in the White Den. It is an authentic intangible that no other candidate, including President Obama, can engage. And it may make all the difference.

She has the ‘it’ factor that inspires her supporters and scares her detractors.
It is not only “star Power”… Gov. Palin has the plan that will turn this nation around to a productive path.
It’s very interesting. All these candidates gas about changing the way that business is done in Washington. She has actually done that already.
I for one am not impressed. You just don’t quit elective office so you can make money on your celebrity. Of course I would vote for anyone opposing BHO but actively support Palin, not likely. Her nation of nitwits is partly to blame for my attitude with there endless gibberish attacks on other candidates.
She has left her governorship to spare her state and family from frivolous lawsuits against her (22 in all, and she won 21 (the one she lost was that she decided to pay for taking her kids along on a business trip to NYC).
You call her a quitter, because she didn’t complete her term, yet you have no problem with Obama for being senator 1 1/2 year out of 6. Many believe that Chris Christie should jump in the race, yet they don’t even mention that in order for him to do it, he would need to quit his job as Governor which he won in 2010.
Palin is the only Rep. who can beat Obama, and if she decides to jump in, she’ll prove it to all the established naysayers.
Anyone who doesn’t know the circumstances of why Governor Palin chose to leave office doesn’t want to know. Take your hate somewhere else. The documentary “The Undefeated” is on Pay Per View. Check it out or shut up!
You need to inform yourself on what she has done. I do not say this to sound rude, I really believe if anyone listens to the truth about her you will be amazed that she has always put the people she represents and her Country before herself. She is the only politician I have ever heard of that is this honest. You vote for the canidate that best suites you. But please know the facts first. Also the media will not always give this information. What The Undefeated and read her books. My best to you and your family.
Pam Lineberry
We then vote Democrat, which you obviously are.
In the state of Alaska haters could file any type BOGUS LAWSUITS against Sarah they wanted to file…FREE !!!! It costed THEM nothing, but costed HER AND HER FAMILY AND THE STATE, MASS MONEY !!! Sarah had a JOB to do, something most liberals sitting on welfare couches wouldn’t know about. If you have a JOB you cannot just tell your boss, hey I realize you hired me and stuff but …there are these haters who are going to keep me in court all the time and I cannot show up to work…that is OKAY RIGHT ? HELLO? Do you THINK YOUR BOSS would keep you employed? NO RIGHT?
It is no different for Sarah, she HAD A JOB and taxpayers were paying her salary….SHE WAS EXPECTED TO BE ON THAT JOB !!!! And she couldnt just NOT SHOW UP FOR COURT ….she HAD TO GO as a public official….AND to defend herself….So, she stepped down as Governor. WHEN SHE STEPPED DOWN, she STILL had bills to pay, and the lawyers fees you know ? They didnt GO AWAY? So yes, in some instances she found ways to “make money” something you liberals seem to hate anyone BUT YOU …doing? SO WHAT? What she is doing is LEGAL and she doesnt get PAID for all these events anyways….?
She is doing WHAT SHE LOVES TO DO….and YOU LIBERALS FREED UP HER TIME TO DO JUST THAT !!!! ITS ALL YOUR FAULT ANYHOW !!!??? Had you LEFT HER ALONE in Alaska as Governor….you wouldn’t be suffering as much with her NOW LOL ?
She would have been BUSY and HAPPY DOING THE JOB SHE WAS ELECTED TO DO….which YOU WERENT HAPPY WITH EITHER ….cause….YOU ARE LIBERALS lol ?
We realize you would rather she DOESNT EXIST, but SHE DOES, SORRY ABOUT YOUR “LUCK” ? Her ONE NATION BUS TOUR is funded by SarahPAC as were her book tours and us Palin supporters gave money to that fund for HER TO DO JUST THAT…..it didnt come OUT OF YOUR POCKET AT ALL !!! UNLIKE….THE THINGS OBAMA IS DOING ..WHICH DOES …AND OUT OF OURS TOO ?
Get a LIFE and STOP Sarah hating! Watch Bannon’s movie “The Undefeated” and LEARN SOMETHING! All you KNOW is what the media is telling you….AND ITS ALL LIES !!! GET EDUCATED ON HOW YOU ARE BEING TOTALLY DUPED…..
“…the capitalism of free men and free markets, of innovation and hard work and ethics, of sacrifice and of risk ” is exactly what we need right now.
Democrats have been historically good at securing good things, public works, and public supports, etc. BO is a big government kind of guy, one who wants the government to do a lot of things. His temper, however, does not fit the times. We are in a bad recession as a result of a housing bubble, and the policies he favors — vastly increasing the size of and spending by the government — are not what we need now. His repeated decision “never to waste a crisis” has not fit our times. It has proven disastrous.
Palin’s view of what we need suits the present. If elected, she will succeed in turning the economy around, provided the skilled people from the Republican party (at least – she should attract good Democrats, as well) form an effective administration. I hope she wins, and I hope she uses the best of the Bush administration and the Clinton administration for her appointees.
“They will campaign relentlessly. They will fundraise constantly. They will stand in the rain, in the blazing sun, in the bitter cold.” Tony Katz sounds like Churchill here and I think he’s right.
The 2009 book tour revealed the depth of Palin support. People drove across several states and slept in the cold to keep a good place in line. That’s when people began recognizing kindred spirits in the lawn chairs and blankets around them. Who was the driving force in the 2010 victory? The GOP establishment pretend she was never there, is not serious, and are not amused with her call to “woman up!” But millions of momma grizzlies and their daughters know who she is. A fair number will be challenging the good ol’ boys in the primaries. Her April Tea Party speech in Madison signaled her running. “Game On!” I expect most of her supporters got it. She’s been the de facto Leader of the Conservative Opposition for three years. Lame “conservative” pundits keep writing her off, complaining about her rogue ways. The joke’s on them. I’m considering quitting work to volunteer in a swing state, maybe West Virginia. My brother says he never got to do a Grateful Dead tour, but he’s retired now and planning on doing the Palin tour, helping where he can. Something is happening here, but the professional political class, like Craig Robinson and Dick Morris, don’t know what it is.
Whether she runs or not her attack on “Crony Capitalism” is right on target, and at least until one of the other candidates realizes how powerful that issue can be, it’s all hers. Just about everyone, left, right and center feels crony capitalism is unfair and one of the most pernicious evils in our social and economic lives or at least most people think they do. Sarah Palin is the only politician beating that drum, at least for the moment and run or not she needs to pound the hell out of it. This issue if properly articulated could be as big an issue as jobs.
The other candidates may catch on to Sarah’s lead on crony capitalism, but there is not one of them that can stand up and point to the occasion when they defeated crony capitalism and put it’s political actors in jail.
Sarah has the proof of action that nobody else has.
I support Sarah Palin because she supports me [America]. And she ‘gets it’. Her voice is the sound of freedom, common sense solutions and reality. She will serve with a servant’s heart if we are willing to help do what is necessary to restore American Exceptionalism.
Palin has been running since she turned the House for the GOP in 2010 w/ all her tireless & selfless endorsements & campaigning (including campaigning in tight elections for Perry & Bachman.)Palin is too modest to give herself the credit for the 2010 victory. Anyone who is still doubtful about her running is just not paying attention or doesn’t want her to run.
Palin’s big challenge has been circumventing a anti-Palin media that votes 90% Dem. Yet, w/ her facebook policy post, books, speeches, bus tour, PAC videos & The Undefeated dvd she is getting her message & record known w/ little cost. She is brilliantly crafting her message in word & action as the Mr Smith goes to Washington people’s leader & making us nostalgic for the constition as seen by our founding fathers,
She’s not going to let some pundit in Washington or on the blogs dictate her strategy. Besides, there may be a very simple reason for waiting to announce till she is required to bc/ of the filing deadlines in November…it may be as simple a reason as just wanting the media to equally vet the other candidates w/o focusing on her, or waiting for Bristol to finish filming her reality show in LA w/o the added security concern that goes w/ being a Presidential candidate’s child.
As for that rope line in Iowa, I saw one guy pull out a gun to be signed…as candidate Palin, she can’t be so carefree w/ those pushy mobs of even faithful supporters…sadly, she’ll have to be less friendly & accomadating for safety sake.
Dont be fooled….I am sure that guy went thru MASS SECURITY to have that gun anywhere NEAR that place! He would have been ARRESTED OTHERWISE….THEY KNEW HE HAD IT AND WHY…..
He was from NRA and it was being signed for some benefit/raffle or something….SECURITY KNEW OF THIS…..MAKE NO MISTAKE! The man even told her what the paint marker WAS that he was handing to her! Security was ALL OVER HIM…..
You cannot HIDE and be a President or a politician….IF YOU DO….you wont win an election from behind some wall somewhere….
Sarah does not NEED TO HIDE and BE AFRAID….that is what people WANT HER TO DO…THERE ARE SECURITY at these events in DROVES….it is just not reported. Alot of it is plain clothes boots on the ground type stuff….
I can tell you as a Sarah supporter myself….IF I seen ANYTHING I could remotely prevent….I would personally jump on the person MYSELF….and so would MANY OTHERS THERE…
MAKE NO MISTAKE, if the opportunity was THERE and something was GOING DOWN….I would willingly block it with MY OWN BODY….if I had to do it …
So would many others….WE ARENT LIKE OBAMA SUPPORTERS who would RUN and HIDE….
Char, you are only partly correct. The man who presented the pistol to be signed WAS a representative of an NRA affiliated group here in Iowa. I didn’t witness this event, but I do believe that security was aware of what he wanted. However, there were a number of legally armed citizens at the Tea Party of America’s Restoring America Event. The Iowa Firearms Coalition, the premier Second Amendment rights group in Iowa, also had a couple of rifles (raffle prizes) on display. There was no screening of citizens for weapons, nor should there have been. Gov. Palin wouldn’t have desired it, even if the Tea Party had made such plans. There were uniformed officers for crowd control (in case of disruption by leftists) and off-duty officers in plain clothes as a protective detail for the Governor. That is it. Heavy security is completely alien to retail politics here in Iowa. Only the President, those on the major parties’ national tickets and high ranking federal government officials get the full-bore security treatment.
Sarah Palin is a very different breed of political cat. I have never seen or heard of a person as effective as a campaigner as she is. When she’s addressing a crowd it’s as if there’s a two-way connection: they’re feeding off her and she’s feeding off them. And they’re reinforcing one another. Then with retail campaigning, when has a presidential candidate spent 45 minutes following a speech to mingle with the crowd. She loves it! And then what does she do? The next day she runs in a half-marathon in the time of 1:46, averaging 8-minute miles for more than 13 miles. And that evening she and Todd spend two hours socializing with diners in Manchester NH. The woman is incredible. And she’s strictly one of a kind.
This here dem will work for her 24/7.
The powers that be will do anything to sabotage her. She is not part of the Club, and the Club is composed of both Democrats and Republicans. When all is said and done the members of the Club take care of one another, even if they claim to the public that they are bitter enemies.
Palin has shown during her tenure in Alaska that she put the interests of the common citizen ahead of the interests of the Club. That is a crime that cannot and will not be forgiven.
If she runs for President I fear that the Republican establishment would be more than happy to stab her in the back at every opportunity. They would rather have Obama gain another term of office than to have someone who doesn’t belong to the Club come to power.
Its all about the Club. The interests and welfare of the country barely enter into the equation if it conflicts with the interests of the Club. Its not just the main thing, its the only thing.
And if you let too many of these Tea Party types come into power a lot of the members of the Club might end up spending the rest of their lives in jail or begging for spare change on street corners.
Hell–the President can determine what lawyers will be in the DOJ and can direct their policies, especially about going after official corruption. The idea of Sarah Palin having that power scares them to death.
Dead center bull.
I’ll come back from China to work for her.

It was amazing to meet her! I have never thought of myself as a Justin Beiber fan, but I was so shocked by her. When she hugged me, it was such a dynamic moment because it was unexpected. I was so happy to be there, then I got to see her up close, got an autograph, and then she went as far as to hug me… I was so touched that I immediately just lost all composure. I am so glad that this video of me has been shared. Since I didnt get a picture of the moment, it is really special to be able to actually watch it and to share it with others. That hug is something I wont likely forget anytime soon.
People at the book signing Going Rogue were rehearsing “their lines” while waiting to meet her….when we all got up there, noone could remember anything and we all stuttered and looked like fools lol! She was really down to earth, smiling, certainly nothing to fear ….but everyone’s knees shook lol…
You just had a few seconds to say something, get a smile from her, tell her you support her and want her to run for President….she shakes your hand, signed your book, and you were literally almost whisked away so others could have their turn….it all happened in the blink of an eye….
Her personal photographer though, did take pics of each person, although a few did get missed….and posted them online to see/ purchase….a picture of me shaking our next President’s hand is something I will cherish for quite awhile:) Meeting her was totally awesome…haters have NO IDEA how truly down to earth and sweet she is….when people say “she is a real person”…..we MEAN JUST THAT…..
You CAN TELL, its not a photo op….You can TELL she loves the people, and they truly love her and what she stands for !!!
Sarah says that she likes to mingle w/ the people in retail politics style so she can learn about their concerns. Yet, just wondering, in such brief encounters how does she do that?
She takes what time she can with each person Jane, as much as she can do. People understand she cannot spend an hour with each one! Alot of politicians go back stage and HIDE after a speech! They dont sign autographs, they dont talk to the folks, They run to their busses and LEAVE ! Sarah does ALL she can with those who come to see her right up to the very last minute she HAS TO LEAVE! At the book signing they said, she wouldnt be personalizing anything….but SHE DID, she signed people’s shirts, baseballs, hats, jackets, ect….AS SHE COULD OF COURSE and at her discretion…but SHE DID IT! It was “against the rules” technically, but Sarah didn’t say “no” to those who came to see her! She cuddled the handicapped Down Syndrome kids like they were her own as she said a few words to their parents….she didnt just say “thanks for bringing them” and go onto the next book to be signed!
People SEE THIS and EVEN IF ITS NOT YOU….You can tell see her HEART, You can FEEL ITS SINCERE….She isnt phony Jane…and YOU CAN TELL THAT. SHE MAKES SURE YOU KNOW your support is APPRECIATED and its not just “Thanks! NEXT!”
This is how she does it.
“Palin illustrated her political charm and retail campaigning by eagerly greeting Manchester locals and talking about issues ranging from the national debt to the cost of gasoline.”

Agreed. One thing I keep telling everyone is that she is amazingly low key for being surrounded by people. Even though she being pulled at by 300 others, she focuses on you, and each person gets her direct and individual attention. If she couldve shaken every one of the 2000 hands there, she would have. Se wants us to know we arent following blind ambition and that she understands how hard it is for us to wait for her.
JMichael, your reaction was very human…it was indeed a touching moment to watch. Agree w/ you that those who admire Sarah & cherish an encounter or autograph from her, are not like adoring teen Justin Bieber fans, nor do they idolize her like the Obama-as-mesiah people. The embrace is reciprocal, reflecting mutual admiration & appreciation of a genuine, populist leader who truly represents America & the foundations that we hold dear.
Sarah2012. Its so true. She is what we have been starving for, what we need. And people just dont get how desperate we are for what she can offer.
Profiles In Courage, By John F. Kennedy
During my early teen years the book I most enjoyed reading was JFK’s “Profile In Courage.” For those familiar, President Kennedy wrote of presidents in American History who rose to the presidency, against all odds, and amazingly were found to be exactly the right person at the right time.
If I was to add a chapter to President Kennedy’s book, it would be about Governor Sarah Palin. There is simply no one better qualified to restore our country to greatness than Governor Palin.
Those of us who cared to educate ourselves about Governor Palin know she is a proven reformer, someone who disdains dishonest political leadership, and cronyism. The complete opposite of what currently exists in the Oval Office. She is not out to change the county to the way she wants it to be so as to respect it. She wants to return the country to its rightful state of exceptionalism, as the Founders envisioned it.
We need to do everything in our collective power to make sure she is in the Oval Office in 2013 and beyond.
Then, we should start planning the Piper Palin campaign for President 2032.
Sarah LOVES AMERICA and her people with ALL HER HEART AND SOUL….AND IT SHOWS….YOU CAN FEEL IT….its NOT just another photo op.
Some haters call her a diva who just wanted to make some money….but ANYONE who has ACTUALLY MET Sarah…would NEVER with good conscious say that about her ! She is the sweetest, most down to earth person who loves her Country and its people that you WILL EVER MEET…..People LOVE HER cause she CARES ABOUT HER COUNTRY and ABOUT ITS PEOPLE….and ITS SINCERE !!! Its not a “Campaign scam” cause…she isnt campaigning for anything….Hey haters, look, she has done this ever since the day MCCAIN “lost” the election cause he gave up and wouldn’t fight anymore! And they reigned in Sarah so she couldn’t say what NEEDED to be said….She had Obama in a corner and was about ready to FINISH OFF HIS POLITICAL CAREER….when, Mccain and crew decided they were “afraid to be called a racist”. So, they made Sarah let Obama go …..McCain wouldnt go to some states and Sarah said SHE WOULD GO ALONE !!! McCain said “no” …. ????? That isnt a “quitter” folks….
She hasnt went away…she is still up front and fighting….she has more cajones than all the current GOP candidates COMBINED….and she HASNT EVEN ANNOUNCED !!! Sarah is A WINNER…..all thru her life she has done WHAT PEOPLE TOLD HER SHE COULD NOT DO ….AND WON ….the morning after her IOWA SPEECH….she participated in a 13 mile marathon where Sarah placed 2nd in her age group
Although, that wasnt exactly what the crowd meant by “Run Sarah Run” the day before
And when she RUNS like that crowd wanted….SHE WONT COME IN………2nd !!!!
Myself and many others would walk thru hell on broken glass to see Sarah get elected in 2012 !!!! The haters have NO CLUE….what would happen, if she just dropped the fact she is RUNNING….
The liberals have all those funny videos about the “End of the World” happening when she is announced as President….well for them, ITS TRUE LOL! Every time she speaks I feel their world shaking….and their hearts trembling lol ….
There has been this fire that I could feel in my soul that she would run and if she ran she would win! This was before I saw undefeated and heard her recent speeches. I am praying for team Sarah and I will help.
Piffle on this Robinson fellow.
He’s what a self-important good ol boy sounds like; he wants us to think his little sandbox is Miami Beach.
Sarah doesnt “have to’ do anything because someone like him, probably a Perrybot, says so.
“he wants us to think his little sandbox is Miami Beach” Love it….could apply to all the self-important TV & Washington pundits, as well. Is this a common expression or of your own invention?
Craig Robinson and his publication have been relatively fair to Gov. Palin and to those who are working here in Iowa to encourage her candidacy. His observations and judgements are generally pretty accurate, as one might expect from his experience in and knowledge of Iowa politics. He didn’t state that Gov. Palin (or any other candidate) MUST do something because HE says so, but rather because of the exigencies of politics. What is your objection to his comments? All you have done is attack him. Pretty weak…
I truely enjoyed the event Saturday. Sarah brought me to tears on more then one occassion, just as she did at the Ronald Reagan Dinner in Des Moines last year. As much as I want her to run, I would completely understand if she didn’t. She has a powerful message, and everyone should jump at the opportunity to listen to her in person.
I will vote for whoever the Republican candidate is. If it is Sarah, I will move heaven and earth to help her get elected.
the older you get, the more you finally learn to “trust your gut”.
Sarah doesn’t kowtow to the GOP. She doesn’t mind telling big oil where and how it is going to work. She doesn’t mind telling the FED that they are not the boss of us. She doesn’t mind telling our enemies that you mess with us at your own risk.
She knows what is inherently right and is willing to take on unbelievable amounts of criticism to achieve those goals or say the truth. I saw her speak at 8/28 Restoring Honor. Over a half of million people roared when she came out, cheered as she spoke and cried as she celebrated the courage of our warriors and the goodness of our country.
We all know that 2012 is not just an election, it is probably our final chance to restore this country and the true opportunities it brings not just for our kids, grandchildren, but the world.
Run, Sarah, Run!
TennVolunteer, this SC/TN resident agree with you 100%!
I want to thank you, Mr Katz, for your freedom loving expression of smoking a cigar in public (on stage). Also, let me express my equal gratitude to the citizens of Iowa for not prosecuting said liberty through regulation. Nanny Bloomberg and other were not amused but I was proud.
